Does your postman delivery letter post when it been snowing ???

No mail this week so far, good, I’m firmly in the “no news is good news” camp, I live in fear of HMRC deciding to query my declared earnings in 1999, or 2005, even though I think that you’re only required to keep records for five years.
I wonder if postmen are happy at being called postie.
When I was driving a Black Cab, I hated the word cabbie, firstly it conjured up to me an image of an old guy driving a horse drawn cab, with two candles of snot running into his grey moustache, and dripping onto his muffler, and secondly, it was usually said with the same invective as a white Southerner in the U.S. calling a black guy boy.

I've had no letter post delivery today.

Although my Amazon man has parcel post deliveried to work. Which is nice because I'm stuck at home.

(this thread always makes me chuckle, never gets old)

DPD - what a total farce.

Ordered from the Amazon - came today (ordered on the 28th) Dispatched from Dartford depot
Ordered from OcUK - delayed 3 days in a row, (ordered the 27th) Dartford depot.

When I messaged them, they couldn't even tell me if it would be out for delivery this week, absolute joke. I understand the weather is bad right now, but to make one delivery (by Jane - so if a woman can deliver in this weather!) But Stefan could not be bothered.

Still waiting on an email for delivery details.... its fine.... its not like it £1000 worth of gear or anything....

I'm not sure the value of the items affects whether the person handing it to you can get to work or not. People live in different areas, trains were cancelled in both directions and all the schools in the area were closed where I live yesterday, but my colleagues who live in Leeds were fine.

Had a keyboard delivered on Tuesday when it was snowing heavily but hadn’t settled much yet. Good job it came then because we’ve not had post since
