You are aware that the verifiable proof shows nothing of the sorts, right?

All they show is that the house intelligence committee report, Muller report, and senate intelligence probe, were accurate when they basically said there was no direct evidence of collusion with Russia but plenty of circumstantial evidence, in other words they found no smoking gun, probably in large part because of all those false statements that some of Trump's team are now serving time for.

He uses it at every opportunity just to get that reaction and to encourage like minded people to use it. Just blatent enough to be offensive and show off to everyone their intolerance of other cultures/ races but insufficient to get a ban or report. Then you get the usual suspect that will echo and defend it because he has a history of posting similar material. It's a disgrace that those of us that are Chinese have to put up with that kind of behaviour tbh.

Thought it was obvious. It's to show that the media called it the Chinese/Wuhan virus before Trump started calling it that, only then was it deemed "racist"

There's nothing racist about it at all, liberals love playing the victim card as well as speaking for others

If you're going to try claiming the media called it that first perhaps the dates of those clips is rather relevant, don't you think?

Because if, as those clips seem to suggest, the virus had not been classified yet then it would be correct to refer to it as a SARS like virus in China or Wuhan, if on the other hand you continue to call it that after it's been classified then...well.

Sigh do we have to play this out again, it's you showing footage from earlier in the year before COVD-19 was the official name. No ifs or but's. You know that and have been schooled everytime you point this out.

Because i was bored I've done some of the work for you tang0, obviously these may not be 100% accurate as there's only so much information that can be gleaned from short clips, having said that the first clip, the one saying 6 deaths and 300 cases was probably on the 21st or 22nd of January, 3 weeks before the virus had an official classification.

The next clip of the Diamond princess seems to be from around the 8th of February, 3 days before official classification.
The doctor who tried to warn the world and later died was on the 6th of February, 5 days before official classification.
The clip that has the headline of COVID deaths surpassing SARS (805 vs 744) was from aprox February the 9th, 2 days before official classification.

I would go through the rest of it but i hope you're starting to get the picture.

I could understand Trump, or anyone, calling it the Chinese or Wuhan virus a few days or even weeks after it's been given an official classification but he was still calling it that over a month later so either he was doing so for a reason or he was totally unaware of that it had been given an official classification, neither of those reflect very favorably on him.

The are numerous flaws with this attempt at an argument but to address a few:

  • German Measles is a slang term for Rubella and takes it's name from who discovered it not the people it came from, the term wasn't created/intended to cause offense/hate.
  • German Measles and Spanish flu are over a hundred years old, the latter term was created during the time of segregation, the former during the time of slavery, they aren't a good yardstick of what is/should be acceptable in the 21st century.
  • Unlike German Measles and Spanish Flu which are descriptive subtypes of something, the term Chinese Virus doesn't even mean anything anyway, it would apply equally to SARS and COVID-19.

Defending hate speech isn't a good look, you may wanna rethink that.

Or more likely that 4 years later he realised it was BS. You really think that someone in the government threatened a random YouTuber over a video with 1.6m views (probably considerably less in 2015)!? They would just ignore it as the crackpot CT it is.

Racism is as much about intent as about the literal words.

Obviously the intent in calling this the China virus is to create anti Chinese sentiment or cast blame. It has nothing to do with naming conventions or anything else.

Just as the Obama birth certificate rubbish was purely a tactic to smear him as he was black.

Now, those are less overt than when, say, I rib a very good friend of mine about being Nigerian and always late, but the intent in my words and the relationship I have with him changes the way he receives those jibes, and as such he will go along and rib himself for the same.

I'm not saying he wasn't born in the US. The issue is did he take US citizenship at 18 or did he renounce it for Kenyan or Indonesian citizenship. That is what matters not the birth certificate. That is why his college records are sealed because that would prove his immigration status.

Yes it is because he's American. His birth was announced in the papers in Hawaii and that announcement is placed by the local health board. So he was born in the US which makes him American and means he could be the POTUS. The whole birtherism was that he wasn't born in the US so he couldn't be president and was a purely racist campaign.

Honestly you've now gone from he was born in the US to he gave up his citizenship. The rights hatred of Obama is ridiculous. If he cheated on 3 wives, went bare back with a porn star while his 3rd wife nursed his new born baby and never attended church can you imagine their reaction... oh they'd probably say he was sent by god :rolleyes:
