Donnington, Trackday - 26th Feb

Cool :)

Bugger about novice & inter being full though :( Se what happens, at least you've got experience of the track and the car is quick so you should be fine really. :)

Still not sure what to do with tyres - nervous about these tyres in the wet - they really do suck, and there may be some showers! What are you doing with your tyres & how's the car coming on?

I'll try an go down a group if I can, probably some crazy fast things in experienced group i fear.

My cousin's coupe got crashed into and today insurance released the car for him to keep so I'm having 2 tyres off him, only done about 3k miles on the back. So thats sorted. Car will be running tonight, just need fluids and exhaust downpipe fitting (lost my exhaust paste)

Can you fit the rears on the front, they are the ones that will get scrubbed most, the worn ones on the rear may last the day then. Just hope it doesn't rain though.

So you dont NEED Insurance on these trackdays? thinking it might be fun to throw the volvo round, but its insurance thats a killer.

Nah you don't need any. Just depends how much of a risk you want to take. My car is worth 10pence so I don't feel the need to bother, even if someone piles into me and writes me off. Actually does track insurance cover other people you drive into? I guess proving who was at fault could be a bit difficult

Think Ill do that - get the rears on the front then if it is wet I'm not going to have to panic and have to wheel swap in a mad rush. :p

If it rains it rains - not much we can do - but I'm going to have to be very carefull if it's wet, I span the car twice in December alone

Thats ok then as my car isnt worth much more. But i guess your right about proving who was at fault. But as long as you dont NEED insurance, i might get myself on a few this year for a laugh.

Oh boy are you going to be popular pmsl :p
I'm gonna look like I think I'm Nigel Mansell.

All these expensive cars designed for the track and me in my special 'nail' :p
Who knows, the last donnington one I did was full of kit cars which just got in the way. At least I won't have anything slowing me down if they are all mega fast :p

Print out and sellotape to car: -
