Donnington, Trackday - 26th Feb

Cheers!

(Where abouts in Bristol are you?)

Will you be stopping for food on the way? I'll pay for it if you like (as long as you dont have 3 steaks!).

I'm in Yate.

I'll be leaving very early in the morning, it's 130 miles/3 hrs (although that time seems a bit excessive for 130 miles in all honesty) according to AA. The Donington FAQ says sign in starts at 7:30 so I'm not sure if I'll be stopping on the way for food, I'll probably just grab some brekkie when I get there TBH.

I'll leave Yate at about 5 am

That's OK. Aslong as you're sure don't mind taking me? Your Donnie brekkie is on me then!

I have never been in an RX7 or a >250ish BHP car. I will see if I can borrow my parents DV camera aswell as taking my digital one.

Can I leave my beast of a car at your house? (assuming I still have mighty white then?)

Of course I don't mind bud, it'll be company for the trip :) No probs leaving your car at my place either.

As for my car, just don't expect many creature comforts, or a nice, quiet comfy ride. The Tein coilovers are shake-your-fillings out solid, the exhaust drones on the m/way and the semi-stripped interior is creaky and rattly. It's pretty hardcore, just the way I like it ;)

Can't remember weather you have my MSN? drexel at blueyonder dot co dot uk

I'm not on MSN much but I'll be on nearer the date so we can sort the details.

Ok cheers.

Ben isn't it, i'm Chris. Pretty sure I have chatted to you on MSN before though (you are already on mine and I pruned my list last week!)

Currently driving a Rover 214i so am used to lots of rattles and noise :p

I am looking forward to it now! :D

Ben remember the camera mount, I've got a half decent camera but nothing to stick it to.

If you can't get one - I'll hand the camera to a (non-scouse) spectator to get drive-by footage instead.

Race Briefing is at 8:30 as long as you are there for that you can sign in anytime before then.... you dont have to get there at 7:30 but half an hour before race briefing is advised. Novice group will be first out at 9am.q

Hello Sailor!

I haven't posted for ages but i'm still humming & hawing big time about coming along to this mainly because of the weather.

I've been caining the 10 day forecast for the last week & it's been looking ropey as fluff in the area, but todays update's showing a let up in rain on the big day! :) Linky

I also rang Donny at the start of this week & they said that about 50 out of 90 places had been booked, which means they definately will be running in sessions. I'll probably decide at the start of next week if i'm gonna book, i'll spend the weekend doing 'Sun-Dances'! ;)

The weather people can't even get the forecast right for tomorrow, let alone 10 days in advance. ;)

Rain or shine - it'll still be fun, and that's from me with a car that's mechanically allergic to wet roads.

Does this kick off early on the Sunday, i.e. before 10am? I still want to come and spectate, anybody who wants a lift with me if they want can meet me at OCUK.
