he SHOULD get some sort of fast track option for a new laptop to be posted straight away on the basis he may have to pay deposit but the deposit don't actually come off its just a holding payment so he get replacement faster then he ships off the dodgy laptop . there are a bucket load of complaints regarding the 1070 on msi forums .

MSI should try to inspect the new laptops before theyre sent to us, to make sure theyre working correctly, i know they cant do it for every laptop, but for those of us who are in the trade in program should have them inspected/and tried to make sure theyre working without the current known issues, just to make sure things go smooth for us, because we should get a higher priority for these matters as theyre trying to make up for their messing up the mxm upgrade.

but your correct they could offer a few different options for getting a new laptop quicker just depends on how they decide to look after him as an mxm program.

At this point anyone involved in the trade-in program I would recommend refusing any model with the MXM 1070 as this seems to be the culprit so far.

As MSI cannot assure that models shipped with 1070's are not affected by this fault, we need to know what they are going to ship us as alternatives.

I hear you on that but then that means them installing games on the machine and testing it with games . when i had mine doing it mine wouldn't crash on benchmark programs or stress tests so it would be hard for MSI to do this and test on some machines . i suppose they could use a external HDD with games on to test. the GPU needs testing with games fully installed like a customer would , they need to pretend they are the customer which they wont . same as another guy on this forum who had his sent back by overclockers saying his was not faulty ..it is faulty and may get worse .

Too late to refuse I'll let you know how my 1070 in sli are once I receive them this week. From my understanding though this is largely a gt72 and 73 issue not a gt83 but nothings impossible I guess

Received tracking today, they don't have any stock of gt73vr 6rf 220 so they have upgraded to gt73vr 7rf 286, extra ram and ssd not bad.
I will take that as payment for it taking so long :)

An upgrade would be cool, saying that while an sli 1080 would be nice, Id still rather stick to a single one. As having two power packs is just too much for me.

Nothing as yet, I did send them an email to have my laptop sent to a diffrent address, neighbors are stealing my ****. I`m hoping it would be sent of today, just waiting for that tracking email.

I have the 7RF ,. What a machine !! That's all I can say .. go and beat my 18899 bench on firestrike when you get it .

I will give it a go, hopefully I get a good chip. How have you done your overclocking, bios or software?
Have you done a clean install?

Yea I'm getting GT73VR 7RF (TITAN PRO)-286UK
9S7-17A121-286 instead now.

:)

Finally MSI doing something right for me, lets hope this one isn't dud when I receive it though, haven't seen any issues really posted online about this one so I'm hopeful.

Also, can we take this to the MSI Owners Thread please?

Thanks :)

LOL so passive aggressive :P

Nope (ok, maybe a tad), just better to keep all benchmarks together so the 1st post on that thread can be updated rather than spread across both.

I'm waiting for MSI to reply to email and skype message. STILL.

You need to verify that score online, it would put you at number 1 position.

Change number of GPU's to one ^

Nice going fella.

well even my other 2nd best score of 18585 would be number 1 , only thing is its an invalid result due to it being an MSI driver and stating
Graphics driver is not approved so it wont put me on the leader board . i may just install nvidia's driver then revert back just to get that score if i can get that score again .

Let's make this a touch more clear:

A suggested retail price of £2,799 laptop is exchange for months of being messed about, your existing laptop, a cash contribution over and above the initial cost, and a faulty laptop being sent out.

Happy?

Or is that just about a tolerable solution to fiasco that it has come from?

Well I'm not impressed still no tracking and msi won't respond via email and also they were pretty rude to me via Facebook. At first I took it as a light hearted joke but when they went silent on me yet again it left a bad taste in my mouth. I've defended them a few times on here. But today was proof msi give zero ****s.

Also I already have 10 friends on my discord that won't be buying msi products again.

you have a point in a way as people have been messed about . but this is a good solution and i can assure this is some beast of a laptop and now im top with genuine scores . cant get anywhere near the 18899 as i didn't even save it to my results and not even my 18585 score is on leader board for some reason .

so is this the fastest sinlge GPU score ? (notebook) ?

Will break 20k when i have the dogs dangles to mess with XTU to add 100mhz or so on the cpu .

Getting abit frustrated with them myself...I had the payment email sent to me Friday at uk time from nat 00:25am I phoned my bank to do the transfer read out the GBP iban given to me to the lady from the bank who told me the iban was incorrect and it wont go through without the correct iban, I used common sense and changed a O to the number 0 and it got approved...2nd issue is my bank wanted the address of the amsterdam branch not sure how they got it but they got it eventually.. , this was not provided by email and I couldn't find it on listed around google or the msi website..

Anyway I emailed them back straight away to inform them of the iban issue and that they should give the address of the Amsterdam branch out in emails and gave them my bank reference number of money transfered... no reply as of yet so I sent Neil a text today to check into it and as of yet no reply but its his first day back
