DON'T BUY MSI THEY MIS-SOLD TOP SPEC GT SERIES LAPTOPS with MXM Graphics

I emailed Natalie this morning courteously asking for a reconsidered offer based on some of the information that has been provided in this thread. As I received an email with the pricing for the Kaby lake models from her at 1am this morning, I'll not expect a reply until later.

Agreed misjah but I think they also travel so might not be on UK time :p

And neo I also got the transfer deducted why the hell should I also pay that? We agreed a price and then I had to pay 25 quid.getting them the money when if I bought the upgrade on their site like should habe happened no transfer fee is payable.

Also I got a proforma invoice today saying handling fee? With no vat

I said send me a real invoice and put on it for MXM Upgrade and ill sign it

Here's an update...

They did come back and say my laptop + £850 for a GT73 with same ssd space (512), same ram (32gb) and a 1080.

I'm seriously thinking about it now... I also asked for a quote on the 1070 model.

What do you guys think? Go ahead? I'm really worried about the turnaround time...

What model and specs was your laptop ?

What I did notice on mine was, Nat said it wont take a further two weeks.
I know I said on here it would prob take that long but I never mentioned the time frame to MSI.

So I guess someone has been reading my posts, lol.

Since the new year is over you will have a quicker turn around for sure (and since people start threating to chargeback speak to retailers and tech press rumoured to be making a piece on this...)

depends what model you had, but I still think you can push for more based on other offers we have seen £600quidish for a 1080 max I would pay imo.

Put it this way

989m sale 350ish
New 1080 about 800 to 900?

So would have cost u 550 max plus shippings etc and maybe bit of labour

Assuming u lose no features

Game On!

please don't say that...

i've updated msi drivers, firmware, bios etc...

playing a game (gw2) and it goes block, the screen glitches a little and then a black box with a red yes/no button comes up but then it disapears and the game comes back to normal (before the bios updates/gfx etc it would crash at this point blue screen and restart)

congrats!! i know windows updates are a royal pain, they seem to download at a very reduced speed from their servers.

i got my shipping label, but still haven't sent my laptop away, i'm waiting for some extra packaging cushions to come for safety before i mail it out, hopefully it will go quick and smooth...

Tropicola, enjoy the gaming when you get the chance.
