DON'T BUY MSI THEY MIS-SOLD TOP SPEC GT SERIES LAPTOPS with MXM Graphics

Natalie sent some gift packs out today

XD after I bought a headset, doh! lol

Someone banging on my door 0730 this morning and left a tnt missed delivery card, must have been MSI stuff as I haven't ordered anything.

Will have to wait until monday but thanks for sorting these out Loki, probably give it to my partner as I refused to let her buy a apple mouse after buying the top spec new macbook pro XD

well the postman returned later on so I now have the pack, headset very comfy and decent quality tbh although mic is a little poor and picks up a lot of background sound and breathing noise etc.

mouse seems ok all steel series stuff, not used it much yet, back is huge lol doesn't seem to offer much protection though however it's all free so I guess its cool. Girlfriend stole the cute dragon key ring, standard.

thanks msi

I did tell you the headset is pretty good. Which headset did they send you? Did they give you a mouse mat also? I like the look of the msi mats. The mouse I'm so so about the 1 they sent me with my gt72 I always had issues with it. For some reason my gt72 and the mouse did not get on well together. I still have my Logitech mx revolution mouse it's a great 1 for me.

Regarding the keyring is it a normal key ring or is it that encryption key? Just curious

But congrats on everything. How is your new machine? Running smooth hopefully

Wow what a thread... I only came into this subforum to look for a reasonably priced laptop and this has kept me busy for the last hour!

I tend to judge companies not on whether they make mistakes but on how they respond to those mistakes - and on that basis I don't think I'll be buying anything from MSI again.

Shockingly half-*****, agonisingly slow response from MSI UK and the disparity between the offer to UK and US customers really is quite stark. I feel a bit sorry for the MSI UK staff as they've been left carrying the can for an underwhelming response at international level. Still, if Misjah et al hadn't doggedly pursued them, you get the feeling that UK customers would have been offered free P&P on a new laptop and some haribo by way of apology.

Dell it is then

just wanna give @Atom80 some good words on the forums after needing an RMA and having a few issues with the repair company "no fault of Aorus" and finding a resolution to everything followed by a phone call to say everything was sorted out. Great customer service and will be looking to upgrade my X7 pro sync very very soon :)

Shared here for contrast.

update on my stuff.

I'm still waiting for MSI to confirm my payment, this is not MSI fault. My bank has royally messed things up, I went into the bank on march 13th gave the bank the info for an urgent payment to MSI. My bank has been giving me conflicting dates of when the payment was initiated to MSI. MSI has requested an MT103 form from my bank to try to locate my payment. My bank has given me the form with wrong information on it, the next business day they sent me a corrected version. I have opened up a complaint with my bank about this, theyre going to investigate. in the meantime MSI still aren't able to confirm my payment, AGAIN this is not MSI fault, my bank has messed this up from the beginning. I'm having the worst luck with getting the new laptop.

Thankfully Natalie has been very understanding, and MSI haven't tried to cancel the deal. I'm really upset with my bank about this mess.

@natarie If you read this thank you for all your help and understanding I can't apologise enough about this.

Well technically it is MSI's fault, if they offered the upgrade as promised you would have been able to purchase online without sending a stupid bank transfer and paying a fee....

and @ your bank they have a responsibility and are regulated so they don't cause you these problems, if they have messed up I would make a complaint, speak to the FCA for advice also or financial ombudsman - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...appen-what-to-do-when-banking-goes-wrong.html

I already started/filed the complaint with my bank, i have to wait a few business days for their response, and then go from there. but this has really made me look bad to MSI. I really hope it gets sorted soon, as i have been without my gaming laptop since february 13th. i don't blame MSI for this mess my banks international payments team has caused this delay.
oddly enough i already read that article after i opened my complaint with the bank. thank you for the help. Hope your enjoying your machine.

I'm stuck in the same boat as miral79 Sent my laptop off on the 20th of Feb got an okay and sent the money off on the 28th of Feb now they have lost the transfer. Confirmed the details with some one from the uknotebook facebook page and my bank all is okay and correct. My bank inform me that the transaction looks successful from their end no rejected payments or query's from the destination bank. Had to give MSI a copy of the MT103 and now I'm just stuck waiting No laptop and a large dent in my bank account with nothing to show for it.

damm sorry for your troubles. when did you give the mt103 form to MSI? well 1 bright side to your problem might be if MSI is causing the trouble with your payment
then they should probably give you a free upgrade or something like that to make up for the hassle. But i do feel your pain, and I hope your problem gets fixed soon.

my bank investigation team contacted me this morning asking if MSI has confirmed my payment yet. I emailed Natalie again telling her about this request from my bank.

i feel bad sending all these emails to Natalie, i feel like im spamming up her email, but its just more info from my bank as they send it to me and i send it to msi...

Took them till this Monday to ask for the MT103 :/ managed to get them it on the Tuesday. Went for the top model xD so I don't think they could upgrade me haha just want my laptop back its been over a month and I'm having to use other peoples computers or my phone its just been a major hassle.

damm thats horrible it took them that long to ask for the mt103 form. i would start to ask them for a discount on your price then, as if this is true it took MSI over 10 business days to request this form you should make a formal complaint and request a discount, i'm not sure if this could be considered as a breach of contract between you and MSI.

but i really hope you get your machine soon and it works.

I hope mine gets resolved soon also.

this whole process has been a big rollercoaster ride.

MSI was able to confirm my payment today :) so now just waiting for the shipping label to see when it will be delivered. i now hope it get processed and delivered soon, and more importantly working properly.

I have to say Natalie has been very good and has made the process easier, its the corporate that needs to improve its policies; MSI could have handled this mistake with the MXM upgrade in a more apologetic approach towards its Customers, and hopefully they will learn from this experience.

I was very pleased with my gt72 it looked very good, loved the lighting, the performance was great for what specs i had. I am really looking forward to see how the gt73 handles.

@natarie Thank you for all your hard work, your service and professionalism are to be admired and appreciated by everyone.

Yes Natarie knows her stuff, she once advised me to "Not talk about bombs at an airport" in reference to my "Bricks in the laptop box are on the way" :)

Natarie very wise, she is.

Edit; glad your almost there XD

You won't be disappointed at the laptop they are beasts, however I want to scratch that MSI logo off so bad every time I look at it I'm like eeeeehhhhh the ball ache they caused me!!! Like a constant reminder, I might stick a Dell label or a piece of apple on it if I get desperate.

anything but apple please! lol

also can you give some advice to Dino1221 MSI still havent been able to confirm his payment, he sent his payment around the end of February and hasn't received any notice of failure from his bank, he sent in the MT103 form last week but still nothing. any advice on what to do im sure would help him out.

yes i want to unleash that beast when it comes, will have some fun setting it up and playing some new games. i want to try battlefield 1 "im not a fan of the franchise but this seems good to try".

i will admit i was kinda hoping msi would upgrade me to 1080, after waiting so long for it, i would have changed and got the gt73 with 1080. but with the 1070 it will still be a really good machine.

update, got the email from msi europe logistics giving the shipping info, on receiving date its written A.S.A.P
ups tracking is ups standard delivery, i know this is nitpicking but if i see the receiving date as asap i would usually expect it as ups express for next day.

but all in all its ok tomorrow i should get the new laptop delivered :)
