Don't ever play rugby with a Samoan

I'm 6ft 6 and a brick out house, I used to be much fitter when I was a bit younger :), football team yo!

Anyway, once played Rugby against a New Zealand wonder kid who was over on some sort of exchange program. Honestly, it was like running in to a moving train. He winded me tackling me, I thought it was how death felt when I was moving full pace and he took me out with a tackle to my side. I still get uncomfortable thinking about it.

He had legs like tree trunks and a chest made of concrete.

its all about getting it popped back in quickly before the swelling starts. not always possible

and everyone should always ask for morphine as soon as possible. even when it isnt needed. big fun

...and not a bruise was seen!

I don't know why I don't bruise. When I did my knee it came out yellow down my shin but no real bruise.

So, it turns out is was broken and the sister that said morphine was a daft idea missed the break on the x ray. Wonderful.

5 attempts at reseating a finger that's twice dislocated and also happens to be broken. Fun!

So it turns out it's not healing properly because it's a double fracture. So now it looks as though I will need it pinning.

Joy! :)

I've never dislocated anything, but I did recently squash my right hand ring finger between 2x 40KG dumbbells, which wasn't fun at all! I thought I'd broken it at the time, my finger doubled in size and went purple. I didn't go to the hospital though, I just monitored it for a few days to see how it went. About 2 weeks on and it's at about 95%.

Mine from earlier this year:
