Don't forget chaps... check down below occasionally

Hope it all goes well for you and regular checks are a good idea.

That reminds me, I keep meaning to get mine checked out after finding lumps around 20 years ago (yes, seriously). I'm sure I'll get round to it someday! :p

Best of luck on Friday with the operation. Hope things go well.

Really want to say best of luck for Friday. I had a scare a couple of years ago and luckily for me it turned out to be a varicocele.

Then again it took me 6 weeks to get an ultrasound as I was on NHS, not the most fun time if I'm honest. Think I'll be definitely looking into private health insurance if it's anything like what you've experienced!

Jesus....

*makes a quick rummage*

Best of luck for Friday, and hopefully the tumour isn't cancerous! future.

Great that you managed to get it so quickly! Although it would have been better had the NHS been able to do it instead of you having to rely on Private Health Insurance.... In 6 weeks god knows how it might have developed! :s

I can't say anything to make you feel better, but you're in my thoughts. Wishing you a very speedy recovery, my fingers are crossed for you...
And my toes, and any other body parts I can manage to cross. :)

I hope all goes well mate. It's good that they found this early. I had an ultrasound done about a month or so ago. Finally got my results 2 weeks back. It was a battle trying to get the results as I got transferred to so many departments when I was on the phone, and I ended right back to the same person at the start
So it turns out they found two cysts. From what I have heard they are nothing to worry about, but they have been causing some pain. Just got to wait for a letter to see a urologist now. Think it's going to be a while before I see that. Got to love the NHS.
I am just glad there was nothing sinister there. I really do wish you the best, and I hope you can get through this as quickly as possible.

Hope the op goes well dude.

Guys. Don't forget to check the big fella while you're having a rummage. My brother had cancer of the penis and had to have half of it lopped off. Whilst a rare cancer, it's still something that needs checking for from time to time :)

You won't need the luck it will be fine. I went through exactly the same process a few years ago, a quick grope in the surgery, quick Ultrasound, quick CT scan then quick op. I was home by 16:00 on the day of the surgery. A little sore but greatly relieved.

I then had some precautionary Chemo and all has been fine for about 7 years now.

You will be sore for a while and if you have a car with hard suspension driving won't be the first thing you want to do :-) Take it easy and be patient, hopefully you have some loved ones to look after you as I did.

Andi.

Thanks for the write up and my thoughts are with you!

Must have been a horrible thing to realise, I had a similar scare and checkup but it turned out to be something else. Doesn't half make you think of the worst case.

Keep checking lads and also get your Mrs/gf/partner to help, although that probbaly won't be productive!

hey OP best of luck mate you did the best thing going to see your doc straight away.
I hope that everything turns out OK I wish you luck tomorrow and please just take some time off with your wife and family x

All the best to you mate, trust op goes well and isn't anything more serious than a tumor.

I don't think these sorts of things can be raised enough - quite a few people I know have died from cancer and as the OP said it is horrible to sit by and watch someone suffer.

Moral of the story - check yourselves chaps!!!

Good luck for tomorrow and thanks for posting your experiences here. You may save someone elses life on these forums!!!
