Door "issues"

Just so you know. ;) It might be harder than you think to get one over on old hawk eyes. :D

LOL, its a 4 large 2 small panel white door. The ones here are almost pristine white. So I guess it wont look as bad as say, a badly hung or repaired door.

If he does find out, Well Ive tried my best.

Aye, the bad news is the ones in B&Q will not be pristine white but tell your dad they're as cheap as chips, in fact don't go near B&Q, they rob you blind, you'd get the same door cheaper in a builders yard or similar maybe.

I done the same doors in our house, cost me something like £17 each so dont worry about the cost etc.. as you'll be using the same handles etc.. if the house is only 10 year old the frames should be pretty square and there won't be much work needed to be done at all.

Don't tell that to your sis though, tell her they cost about £100 each & are dead hard to fix. :p

I was thinking of £50 :)

Trouble is, her mates dad told her they only cost about £15 and not to worry! :(

Shes too young to sort it out really, Im feeling generous.
She's too young to be left alone by the looks of things as well! Pay for a tradesman and then use it as blackmail in the future.

We've just had new offices built and the joiners wanted to leave the doors in the building for a couple of days before they hung them. This was allow the doors to reach the same temperature as the building to avoid possible problems later due to expansion or contraction.

No, but he wont pay for her car insurance in a few weeks time when she turns 17.

She works really hard at school, Im proud to have her as a sister. She deserves to be able to drive the car. Just she needs to learn some common sense :p

Oh boo hoo. My parents would never have payed for my insurance, and likewise i'd have never have asked.

Do you really want someone with no common sense behind a wheel? I know I don't.

OT:

Can't you get your friend to do it and explain you don't want your dad finding out?

If all else fails DIY, but take your time.

Blimey, how many heartless people does this forum have. The amount of times i had to learn my lesson as a kid, didnt help me. I prayed just once that a miracle would happen and no one would notice. Sounds more like grumpy people didnt have parties round their houses, something is always inevitably broken.
Im sure we've all been there ourselves once, i say help her, she can owe u one when shes older.

If you any good at fixing or building then its do able, but if not i wouldnt bother.
A fitter will charge roughly around £30 a door.
