not sure i buy that...... that is criminal damage which would be a criminal offence rather than parking on private land which is a civil one isnt it?

so for instance if someone parked in my drive i COULD hire a skip and block in the car......... but i couldnt hire a skip and drop it on top of said car!.

Shouldn't block someone in - the police will do something about that (in theory) if either your vehicle is blocked in by someone else on your land, or you block someone else in on your land. What the police won't do is if someone blocks you out of your land which is a whole civil matter in most cases.

Damaging someone's vehicle even if it is on your property is a criminal offence.

I've seen quite a range of responses from the law when it comes to someone parking on private property and/or blocking vehicles through their parking ranging from couldn't care less to putting in a window and rolling the vehicle out the way.

I remember that one, interesting outcome to the case - it has been very different with the farms around here and police involvement.

I've got farms either side of me and interesting to see what they have to deal with sometimes when it comes to the general public - several times the one across the road from me have had people park just inside the the entrance of the obviously not public lane from the road to their main buildings as if that somehow makes it OK and then when remonstrated with have the cheek to say stuff like "you can still get a car through" not aware and/or caring that the lane is also used by large agricultural vehicles, never mind they have no right to park there.
