Downsizing from TT Core X9 to the O11D XL + EK Front Distro plate

Did a bit more planning today, now that I have removed the HW - SR2 from my old case in preparation to air cool the 3090 temporarily until the Waterblock come.

Here is the HW SR2

Here it is with the MP5works Inlet tube

Worked out the closest level I could get was using 2x 0.7 extensions.

@OC2000 scratch what I said about the vertical G card due to having a S card.

I found a PCIE X1 riser cable on the bay so I can now fit both cards in the double vertical mount that lain li do. It will fit nicely just above the bottom rad

Interesting. Would the Sound card go behind or in front of the GPU?

Looking at my Bottom Rad though, it looks like it is higher than where the Riser mount would be placed.

Both sets of rad fans pushing out?

Is there enough room for fans below the case for push / pull on a 60mm rad?

The side glass, I see there's a small cutout for a locating screw on the rear upright (just beside your rear fan) . Can the screw be taken out of the glass? I'm wanting to do a UV build and I'll be using the front and rear uprights to mount uv tubes...

since the cpu and gpu are being water cooled I’m using the rads as exhaust to get the heat out. I’ve always had good results doing it that way. If the gpu was air cooled I’d have more air coming in.

I've gone with this same case and spec pretty much, though EK rads, and im using the G1 side plate not the front of case larger one and i went for white.

Still waiting on CPU, GPU and GPU block though unfortunately and those lian li clip together fans. Damn world stock levels.

I think the distro plate you've gone for makes for a far easier time on the hard line tubes, i'm going to have some fun this week attempting a few clean bends.

I opted just for 45m rads top/bottom, instead of a 60 in the base, while im not using a vertical mount, i may want to in the future.

The case is SO easy to work with, really blew me away. My only gripe is the front panel usb3.0 cable is a joke, a huge hulking monstrosity and should use a short connector, i've orderd a better extender. Same for, and this is same for ALL cases, can the Io cables etc not be utterly disgusting exposed cable? Can we get some nice braided front panel/IO cables for once and get them neatly pre-routed to the base and side. They could really have done a better job here at little cost, id also like to be able to remove cables if needed, the bottom 2 USB opn the front i don't have the mobo connectors for but i can't pull the cable out (without causing damage) to tidy it up.

Anyway lovely looking build! Good luck.

Cool. Upside is the fans look way better as well!

Any answer to the other 2 questions...?

This setup managed a push pull, but looks to be a 40mm rad

Im not sure about the glass and screw. I don't see any screws in the side panel. Could you be a bit more specific on that one. Cheers

@jakspyder u can get an adapter cable for those bottom usb to fit to motherboard. Brought off the bay

@Doug2507 why use uv tubes there are UV + ARGB LEDs with magnetic backs u can use

U can control both independently via remote.

Yeah im buying in adapters, but i shouldn't need to! Why let down such a high end product with such low grade wiring. I can't imagine these represent a high cost.

I have actually now decided to do Bottom and Side fans as intakes and Top and rear as exhaust to follow the natural direction of hot air rising. It shouldn't look too much worse as I'm using the QL120s which are designed to go either way.

Are you not concerned about reducing the effectiveness of the top rad due to it sucking in hot air from the bottom rad?

The General consensus is to have bottom and side rads as intakes and top and rears as exhausts. My last build all rads were exhaust, but I had a decent amount of intake as well. Since I have probably a month plus to wait for all my parts still, Ill continue to research and find the most optimum fan configuration.

@OC2000 how easy your loop to bleed mines being a right batch, I've had the case all over the shop getting air locks out here and there. think my pump may be dying says its at full pelt but all I'm getting is a dribble out the top rad return
