So I ordered a new phone the other day, missed the delivery so went to my local depot...

There was a clear glass reception desk that backed into a huge warehouse. Where there was this big guy just picking up boxes and packets and literally deliberately throwing them onto the conveyor belt with his mate for fun.

I didn't say anything, I should have recorded it on my phone, but I had already dismantled it, also I didn't want to cause any trouble.

I think when I order something from OCUK in the future, I will be slightly worried about the state it arrives in from now on, especially a mobo or something :(

I am sure if you were to pick up the phone and speak to DPD and let them know which depot it was they may do something about it.

Let them know that you wish to how they are going to deal with what you saw since you use their service.

Unfortunatly happens at most companies :( its usually instant dismissal if caught though so suprised they were doing it so obviously.

When I worked in the warehouse for <insert big DIY company> people would have competitions to see who could get the most parcels to hit the end of the lorry when loading up :|

Have you ever bought anything from OCUK? The retail boxes which come with all sorts of padding are boxed inside another cardboard box with air bags.

I'll worry about other things I think.

Clearly

Yes I have, but Id rather not have something like a HDD chucked like that no matter what it was wrapped in!

No I'm with you but it's beyond our control. OCUK have chosen DPD based on a number of factors and I'd assume the amount of damaged goods was one of them.

They email when they're going to turn up and have been bang on when I've waited in for them in the past.

Which courier would you choose where you know that your parcel will be looked after and handled correctly?

Used to happen to me all the time when i worked in the purple shop, the warehouse had two floors and they would throw them down a conveyor to the bottom floor, even worse when you are about to send it out to a customer and its dented on all the corners..

Yodel are amazing, I dont know how they are even in business... I had a van driver ringing my door bell, I opened it too quickly so he sprinted to his van and drove off rather rapidly.

What...? lol.

"****!! they are actually in the house, RUN!"
