DPD - Rant

DPD are so good I only order from OCUK because of them. Sometimes I buy stuff I don't even want just so they can deliver to me.

That’s not really a sensible solution for everyone though, I live about 180 miles away, bit of a trek just to avoid couriers!

DPD are just crap up here. No next day delivery, never had a time slot and no free delivery from the three retailers I used to get it with (OCUK included) since they swapped to DPD. Shocking surcharges with some retailers that use DPD as well. I pretty much avoid anyone that only has DPD as a courier these days.

Same as myself. Often £15+ to deliver to Northern Ireland. I deal with courier companies to ship in excess of 50 parcels a day from here to mainland gb and know that is not what it costs.

Have to agree with the vast majority here I have used DPD plenty of times before and between the tracking and service they have been great!

Recently Yodel delivered my parcel to one of my neighbours. It turned out that the "neighbour" was some two streets away.

If it was Yodel, the driver would have delivered a stretch arm strong broken then stolen it straight out of your hands before taking your mother out for a nice seafood dinner and never calling her again.

Indifferent about DPD here.

I live about an hour away from the shop, most of the time I drive because I can be impatient at times or if there's no one going to be at home the next day.

But the times I have orderered online and had stuff delivered by DPD, they've turned up when the said they would with my stuff present, correct and undamaged. I can't get over-excited about this; they're just doing what they've been paid to do.

Never had an issue with DPD, they are great.. tracking is second to non and the items always come in great condition..

Also forum free postage is a huge bonus..

DPD by far the best courier service out there, never ever had a problem with them, they always deliver exactly when expected every single time.

We have all the carrier's bringing in parcels to our lab, dpd are by far the worst. Shocking really.

DPD seem OK for me. I think it depends on your local drivers, although there are several couriers who are notoriously bad. But I do appreciate that the only influence a customer has is to not shop with a company that uses a courier who is bad in their area.
