Dragon Age Inquisition

Craterloads I feel your pain man, not as much pain as eating a banana and egg sandwich but I do feel your pain as a fellow DA2 buyer.
I loved Origins but everything from the combat to the way the darkspawn were re-designed I hated about DA2.
I like you would have waited for reviews but I'm a complete idiot and pre-ordered, I went one step further and got the digital deluxe edition.

Don't understand all this waiting for reviews. There is more than enough information about before games are released, and loads of gameplay footage and let's plays. You really should be able to tell if you will get your money's worth by now. And anyway, who's review can you trust nowadays?

I may well end up not liking the game. But I have gone in to it with my eyes open, and have seen enough to know that it is at least worth playing to make my own mind up!

Really, hasn't there been quite a lot of controversy lately with games from certain big publishers promising big things, creating massive hype, only to be let down and left with shallow games not coming close to what was promised?

...
I think that's partly to do with watching people play the game with a control pad and it looks like they've only got 4 skills :|

Remember they've been promoting the XBOX ONE version due to the early access deal with Microsoft. If you check out the Twitch streams they did a PC one to reassure we will get all the bells and whistles:)

Have they changed the art style from origins, now its been a good few years since I played origins but when I look at inquisitions it seems a little cartoony (perhaps not the ideal word)?

This would have been a day 1 buy / pre order but after the disappointment of DA2 ill wait for player reviews.

Remember the engine is now Frostbite = Huge potential:cool: I don't think you'll be disappointed:)

+1
Ultimately we all have to decide for ourselves:)... Digital Deluxe here I come:D:p

The Keep is Live!!!!

Didn't seem to sync all of my choices, but it's easy to alter then sit back and enjoy the story:cool::cool:

Certainly that is true, but the same could be said of reviews. Some very fishy reviews around nowadays.

The thing about it is, there is so much info about before games are released now, that you can easily get enough to give a good impression. For example, there are hour long videos on yt full of gameplay that should be more than enough to tell you of you will at least get your money's worth... Not if you will like the game or not, but if it deserves at least a chance.

I have seen enough to know that it at least deserves a chance for me to make my own mind up.

I just tried the Keep...It is cool, but all it does is reinforce how bad DA2 is!

You go through the stories, and during the Origins one I was thinking, 'yeah, that really was a great game'. Then it goes through DA2, and I was thinking 'that story was really barely worth telling'.

Also, one problem I find is that it is a bit too tempting to just keep everyone possible alive to see if they appear!

All true.

Weird thing is I loved DA2 at the time, I guess because I loved Origins so much and I loved the lore. But I tried a recent playthrough and it's really difficult to get through a whole game. The locations are awful and the characters for the most part are bland.

It was so unlike Bioware really, to rush out a game like that. I guess to try and give them credit, it was at a time when PC games were kind of dieing and the console market so big, that maybe they just thought knocking out faster paced games would suffice? I don't know. It backfired obviously, as the hatred for DA2 is enormous and has impacted on the hype for DA:I.

They are a quality company though, and deserve to get back on track after the blemishes caused by DA2 and the end of Mass Effect 3 (which is really unfair I think).

Inquisition just looks so incredible. If it delivers all they have promised, then it's very hard to appreciate the work that has gone into it and also the sheer amount of outside world I am likely to miss because of this game :)

Please hurry up and be the 21st November.

Just a note guys, the keep sync only syncs your character and achievements you still have to select choices in the tapestry:)

One thing about the Keep that has me worried- They have set up a forum for people to suggest options that are missing or should be added to it before it is properly released...but at this stage, they obviously aren't going to add anything to the game in any way. Makes me wonder if anything is going to matter tbh.
