Dragon Age Inquisition

28 hours in and only level 13. I may be losing my mind and/or focus. The game just gets even bigger, bolder, more colourful and grindier...

Still haven't met Morrigan. :( Though I did meet someone else and I like what they've done with him.

Do you need to have played the other DA games to understand what's going on here?

Also is there anywhere cheaper to get it? £50 is like 2.5x what I'd normally justify for a PC game.

It helps, but it's not a necessity. It can be found on the Mexican Origin store for less than £20.

holy jesus that's quite a saving. How do I go about doing that?

I recommend installing a chrome extension called Hola, set your location to mexico and then buy the game on the origin store via the browser. (I had to refresh the page once or twice and fiddle with the extension a smidgen, but only took 2 mins)

Then, download a vpn program called tunnelbear (free for up to 500MB of bandwidth per month, and very lightweight program),

set your location to US in tunnelbear and turn it on, and open origin.

Refresh your games library and start the download, then turn off tunnel bear (or you'll rinse that 500MB very quickly).

the download speed will plummet after you turn off the VPN, but will soon rise back to normal speeds.

Play the game after you download all 27GB!

MooMoo, get the addon 'Hola' for Chrome. Use that to change to Mexico (it's really simple to use). Navigate to the Mexican Origin site and add it to the cart. It will ask you to log in after you have added to cart, turn off Hola then and log in/continue. It will ask for paypal payment. Bear in mind it will stay in Spanish and any correspondence through email will be too.

EDIT: beaten but why the need for the tunnel bear part of it?? Once it is bought, it is added to your normal Origin account??? :)

That's a good point, you may not need the tunnel bear part now, but I was using it to preload before it opened up over here.

E: Lukieboy007 I would say it's worth a buy at the Mexico prices. I never was able to get into RPGs in the past, but I'm really enjoying this and it is mahooooosive. Performance is so-so. I have 2 290s at stock and I get 60-70fps at ultra settings at 1440p. I'm pretty sure that's going to change with driver and game optimisations though.

I don't know about using Hola, I've read some quite shady stuff about it and would never trust entering any passwords or card details while using it. If you want to buy something from Mexican Origin just use something like VPN Gate and SoftEther VPN Client, they are a little more of a hassle to use but I think they are worth it.

Yea, it's just needed for the pre-load for us impatient ones (I did it too :D)

The Hola method is only used to add it to the cart. You turn it off before you enter any details so should be fine. I have done it twice now with no problems...(touches wood :D)

How is this game guys? Would you recommend it? I enjoy RPG's, particularly Skyrim. What's the performance like as well?

I think the game is brilliant, it does have one or two minor niggles, but pretty much all games do nowadays.

I'd rate it a solid 9/10!

Thanks, I currently have a 280x and am planning to upgrade to 1440p soon and am perfectly fine with not playing on ultra, so sounds good! Think I'll go for it, I was concerned if the game would be a buggy mess and doesn't sound like it is. :)

I have to say I love the game. Very pretty and very engaging however,as a PC gamer I expect a bioware RPG to a lot more playable on KBM. I hate myself for doing it but Ive plugged my XB1 pad in and its just a lot easier to control. Dragonage origins was perfect for me and the control scheme was spot on so why take a step backwards? I understand Consoles are where the money is but they have already given us KBM controls that work in previous games! Very frustrating...

Worked perfectly doing this. Worked out at £25 though rather than £20, but it's still better than paying £50 for it. What a rip off, double the price just for living in a different country!

Ah, apologies. I just took a random guess as I bought the deluxe edition for £30, I assumed it would be £20.

Nice to know it works but I only paid £30 offa key site day of release. My mate bought it for £27 off the auction site so I dont know where £50 comes from. Worst case buy the boxed £35 and use the key
