Dragon Age Inquisition

Now that I'm following the correct paths, I spent about an hour watching various cutscenes, and in the process levelled up 4 times (and fighting levelled enemies). My character now has a direction, and now I've got a good selection of party members now.

Which party member combo's have yielded the best banter?

I was going to ask, what's the best in story? Get up to a certain point? As I pretty much just veered off instantly and now have an absolute shed load of side quests

Still having really bad performance at 1080p on anything more than medium...

I like Varric and Iron bull.

I had to bin Varric as him and Solas kept repeating the same dialogue all the time. Got sick of it.

Pretty much did the entire game with Cassandra, Solas and Iron Bull. (Plus me Rogue/assassin). Cassandra and Iron Bull have some interesting conversations. :)

My character is a mage but I sort of regret that decision as you get potentially 3 other Mage companions to pick from, so having a 4th seems fairly redundant.

With my mage I've gone with Blackwall, Cassandra and Varric

So keen to play this, but wanting to get DA:O and DA2 completed first.

Sadly, I made the mistake of ordering the Ultimate Edition of DA:O from CJS CD Keys, who have sent me a key which has already been used and now refuse to refund me until their supplier has investigated (and repeatedly close my enquiry every time two days go by!). After a couple years of trouble-free service, once you actually have an issue they turn out to have the worst service you can experience.

Anyway, it's good to see there are lot of people enjoying themselves in the game :)

It would be really worth it, especially now with some very good deals on at the moment. The game looks amazing with high/ultra settings :)

Edit: No idea what your budget is but heres some amazing cards for very silly cheap prices:

The weakest out of those cards I linked you would be a huge huge difference in performance for you matey :)

Cheers.... Too many headaches in the past with ATI so I'd go Nvidia. I'll have a look at what's around though, seems you can't control the fans as well with Gigabyte as with MSI for example going by reviews... 400 quid is pushing it really with Christmas around the corner. I'd be looking for the quietest card I can find! I'll go have a read over the GPU section as GPU upgrade is something I've put off for a while - been waiting for Witcher 3.

The 900 series are great cards and the 970 is stupidly cheap for how powerful it is compared to a 980. But Bioware have acknowledge that there are issues with Nvdia cards and this game. Just thought you should be aware.
