Dragon Age Inquisition

its not CGI...lol its running on the frostbite engine and you know how good battlefield looked.

I was about to say the same:cool: I can't remember where I read it but I think the dev's were determined this time around to use in game assets after Origins and DA:2'S Trailers were seen as not representative. I loved them as I do this one:p Excitement level rising, RISING!!!:D

This is BioWare's last chance for me. I will buy it, but if it's crap that will be my last purchase. If the PC version has no controller support then I won't buy it at all.

(I've bought everything they've ever made since Baldurs Gate 1)

The fact that you can use a controller is probably the reason I wont get it :)

I too want controller support.

Why does it matter? Surely you would just not use the option? A stupid remark you've just made.

Also a last purchase for me, since the last 2 games they made that I liked was KOTOR and Dragon Age Origins, everything else is downhill. So if they fudge this up, I'm out.

Good news guys Mike Laidlaw has confirmed both options:)

Seem to be in the minority here as a Dragon Age fan:(

but if anyone is interested Bioware has updated the official site with more character background and character class info:

MORRIGAN:
http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_GB/characters/humans/morrigan

VIVIENNE:
http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_GB/characters/humans/vivienne

CASSANDRA:
http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_GB/characters/humans/cassandra-pentaghast

VARRIC:

For those in the know, enjoy:)

I think that it is more scepticism towards Bioware rather than hating on Dragon Age.
I'm replaying DA1 myself at the moment and really enjoying it, but my thoughts towards DA3 aren't overly positive at the moment.

Hey Squark, I can understand the scepticism:)

I loved Origins and enjoyed DA:2 but the reuse of environments (the endless backwards and forwards through the same cave network:confused::o:D) in DA:2 did seriously distract from what could have been a great game:(

I feel that they have really learnt from that:) Frostbite 3 and the lessons learned from multiple titles using it should hopefully equal a less bumpy release. (we're looking at you Battlefield :o)

The Bioware community section has recently been overhauled as well with a sense that Dev's are taking on board peoples hopes for DA:I.

I know that perhaps I'm looking through rose tinted glasses but I feel we will all be happy come OCT 10th 2014:cool:

They have probably learned a little, but it is too much ingrained in the way they make games imo. Too much time spent on selling us dlc and bombarding us with tablet tie-ins etc. The brilliantly deep tactics, exploration and general freedom with the way the game progresses is old Bioware. We will be lucky if we get to change weapon and armour in this game(without paying for it of course).

The biggest worry for me though is the recent trend of Bioware for creating characters with no regards for story, so for example you have characters that don't fit, that do ridiculous things that make no sense to the story, which then takes a back seat.

/cynic(Bioware, you did this to me!)

Such an impressive video
Can't wait to play it, never really gave the other 2 a chance

Play Origins NOW!

But on revisiting both games recently, I’ve found that I prefer Dragon Age 2 to Origins, to the extent that I honestly believe it to be the better game.

I realized that DA2 is a unique and exhilarating experience in the fantasy genre, and one that feels quite at home in this post-Game of Thrones world.

It is a fantasy gaming experience that actually stands out from the muck of sameness, and that’s something we should celebrate rather than ignore.

I didn't expect this until E3 and was also blown away by it:cool: as Pighardia said you gotta play Origins! DA:2 is also worth persevering with, as it has some fantastic moments it is overshadowed by Origins though:)

In case you didn't know though they'll be using the Dragon Age Keep (Web portal) as the starting point to set up the time line so you wouldn't have had to of played DA:O or DA:2 to get into DA:I:)

I think the Dev's have confirmed there will be no DLC characters this time as they're all so woven into the story:) so this has given me hope for a return to form Pighardia:)

I think ME3 has jaded many (if only it ended before the deus ex machine Catalyst moment I think ME3 would have been heralded a fitting end to the trilogy) but reading lots of Dev comments on the Bioware forum both DA:I and ME4 will mark a return to form:cool: (I'm crossing everything as I type this:o:D)

I've sent a message to the mods for thread rename :)

Cheers Neil:)

urrgh, i wanna play but i dont wanna use ea origin =x

Origin has improved over the last few years, it's not Steam but they seem to have realised they have to try harder with deals etc so may be have another look:) also they have had some on the house deals recently which may be worth a go:)
