Dragon Age: The Veilguard

I have a 1 month code for EA Play Pro I might redeem it and give this a go. I’m sure I will regret it but have nothing else to use it on. I’m sure my laptop is up to the job.

You can play on GeForce NOW Ultimate if it's not. I am playing on there and I prefer it to my RTX 3080 5800X3D PC in this game.

I can use the equivalent of an RTX 4080 and it's much cooler and quieter too, this game pushes your CPU hard with raytracing on.

I keep meaning to try it actually now that I've got gigabit broadband.I'll probably wait until there's a trial.
You can also try it for a day for £8 with the Day Pass. There was a special offer on where as a new customer you could get Dragon Age Veilguard for free if you bought 6 months' worth of Ultimate, but it appears to have ended.

Prepare to be ordinarywhelmed. It’s OK and if it were on sale it’s worth a blast. I am 10 hours in and will probably my get my money’s worth.

I spent more taking my son to a Five Guys as a treat!

If you describe a game as "getting my money's worth" that's not a good game IMO.

Not one person here so far has said it is a very good game.

Let's hope EA and Bioware learn from this and we can get a proper Mass Effect game. Holding my breath I am not though tbh.

It's nothing more than a scam at this point, all the glowing 5/5 8/9 out of 10 'return to form' lying to you mainstream gaming 'journalists' reviews to get you to part with £50 to 70 unbelievable!

Well it worked for a lot of people! Just goes to show how easy it is for the media to brain wash people into buying something.

Surprised they didn't run a fact checking service called Bioware Verify

Well not really, it simply means I don’t feel like I wasted my money. Conversely Wukong cost me £50 and it was a total waste as it total tripe IMHO.

Yeah exactly, you feel like you haven't wasted your money because you got some usage from your purchase, that's not the same as it being a good game.

It's time for mainstream gaming journalism to die. Not that it is journalism of course, it's basically just propaganda, they're trying save their industry by taking bribes and lying/insulting their customers.

I remember the days of ZZAP! magazine when games were just games and the people reviewing them actually had a clue about gaming.

Telling you I wasted my money without telling you I wasted my money...

No, he hasn't wasted his money, and only he can decide that, but time spent isn't the same as a good review. Otherwise his actual review wouldn't have been "prepare to be ordinarywhelmed" and "it's ok". See what I mean? there's a difference between usage and and that product beeing good.

I've bought loads of products over the years that were crap, that I nevertheless put up with, used, and got my money's worth out of. But they were not good products at all.
