Dragons' Den

What exactly are the bbc doing with the license money? 6 episodes in 1 series is a joke, just like that planet earth thing as well. How many american programs like 24 or lost have 6 episodes in a season?

Maybe the 'Dragons' can only do a set ammount of programs per year, since they will be busy with other things. But one thing i don't understand is why BBC don't stretch the programmes out with the material they film so we get more episodes. In between the ideas you get to see the whole way through, you always get the presenter talking about other people who went into the 'Den' and shows you small clips of them. They could just show the whole thing instead of small snippets of what happened

Exactly, they must have hours of film left over from people they didn't show, another poor effort on the bbc's part as usual.

I find Dragons Den highly enjoyable. It's a great twist on the talent show format and really shows you how and how not to pitch yourself :)

Am I the only who has become bored of Dragon's Den now? The first few series were entertaining enough, but as a format it's become a bit stale. They need to get rid of whoever edits the programme so as I can watch it one week and not find it totally predictable!

My gripe with it is that they have one long pitch at the beginning, then filler material that could have been quite good, then another long one at the end. Like someone said, there must be hours of footage they could use to either make a few mor programmes or rotate the format.

Still enjoying it mind.

Yeh I met Julie White the other day, a successful contestant who managed to suceed in creating the now formed "truly madly baby". She took 3-4 hours to do her pitch and filming... that was condensed to only 8 minutes of fottage!

And here is a treat for you dragons den/ X Factor lovers! ;)

yeh i watched was really funny, the thing that confuses me is why do they have that money on the table but never give it to anyone (like if they won over a dragon or two). I thought that poker bloke was ace he told one of the dragons he didnt want his money he was ded confident

In one of Sundays newspapers they had an article that featured about 16 people who had been promised money but none of them had received any.
Most of them had found money from other sources after spending months trying to get in touch with the Dragons.

The obligatory shot of Peter Jones putting on a show of looking bored and incredulous during the first few seconds of virtually every pitch really gets to me now.

That wireless thing was good, however I'd be seriously concerned about security with that amount of data flying through the air.
