drink driving limits

I agree with everyone else though - if you're driving - don't drink ANY alchohol! Never understood someone saying "I really need a beer/drink/glass of wine". Surely that's alchoholism?
No, thats enjoying the drink in question a lot.
I don't think theres anything more refreshing than a really cold pint on a hot day in a country pub.

Yes, but you can't really stop yourself getting a cold can you? You can however make sure you don't drink any alchohol when you're about to drive.

You could just not drive if you have a bad cold - how is having a pint of lager make you a baby killer but getting in the car bleery eyed, not slept all night and feelihng dog rough some how acceptable?

Get a taxi or stay in bed you child killing man-flu person :p

it's not - that was my point. You could still be done for dangerous driving if you did.

On the subject - you may have noticed that driving whilst tired/at risk of falling asleep at the wheel is getting the same attention/targeting from the Police as drink driving. Great I say as that's up there with drink driving as a major cause of accidents (if not more so).

Ah so if unsafe to drive through lack of sleep / illness you have to drive badly to get into trouble, while alcohol makes you unsafe no matter how well you drive.

Fair enough.

When are people going to learn ever increasing legislation doesn't stop bad things happening to good people.

It may be 'simple' to ban alcohol, or speeding - it can be measured, but lets be honest, it doesn't do jack **** to make the roads safer.

the idea is to stay within the driving legal limit ,not to be ****** ;)

it is exactly because of your type of question that the legal limit should be changed to zero, that way there can be no argument about just under or just over.

if you are drinking 4 pints in an evening and driving then you had better hope you don't get stopped or more importantly don't have an accident.

unfortunately when a drunk has an accident they end up killing the other person and not themselves!

i know one thing for sure if a drunk hit me and i got out ok, i'd make sure he hit his head on the sterring wheel several times and shut the door on his hand while trying to get out!!
