My issue is deciding when enough is enough before taking the bag out. I just wait until I can't be arsed waiting, which is generally very short.

Maybe I should make a thread on it.

yorkshire tea, hot water, steep for 3 minutes, stir, remove bag, add sugar, add milk, stir, drink, repeat...

Wow for once I agree with you. :p
Has to be Yorkshire Gold for me and I put my sugar in first as I don't have spoons long enough to properly stir my pint mugs.

*Goes to make a cuppa

Normal tea, ie PG Tips etc, is nasty without milk. Proper tea can be nice without it though. Tea should not, under and circumstances, have sugar in it! It totally destroys the taste of the tea. Pointless!

As for coffee, again I don't really like instant coffee without milk, but a decent real coffee can be so much nicer without it. Depends on the blend though, some are a little too harsh without it.

Mmm I want a cup of tea now! *puts kettle on*

the chinese has been drinking tea without milk for thousands of years, it's an english thing to add milk in it. fine tea should never have milk, it's the tea bag stuff that people do

Yep, it's the same in the Middle East, they don't take milk, and it's drank out of a glass cup, usually a leaf of some kind of herb in there too.

I don't drink tea, which means my teeth are less yellow, two British stereotypes I don't conform to. :D

Tea and coffee are supposed to be drank without milk. People who put milk in either are losers.

Not even frothed milk?

Do you drink instant coffee? :(

My tea is white and very sweet

My girl friends tea is basicly tea and hot water, no sugar no milk

I never drink tea unless it's got loads of milk

Iced tea is good, but hot tea without milk = :o

I'm drinking horlicks atm, tis amazing. :D

Not had milk or sugar in coffee or tea for 15 years.

I couldn't even drink a cuppa with sugar in it if u offered me one, so vile.

I too have a Pint mug. Though i only use it on special occasions :D

For instant coffee and builders tea I would use milk,
Green tea/non breakfast tea or proper ground coffee should always be taken without milk.

Proper tea and coffee is much nicer without milk, but I would never consider drinking a cup of pg tips or asda own teabags without milk :)
You'd actually consider drinking asda own teabags?

I do exactly the same, black tea.

If you question the logic of this, realise that milk is designed for baby cows. Ask yourself if you are a baby cow.

Yes I am. Betch you didn't think a cow can use the internet eh?

Haha, builders tead? Is that muchos milk and sugar?
Yup, PG Tips or other cheap teabag brewed up real strong with plenty of milk and sugar :D

Is it though? Once it's been processed etc. by our good folk surely it is fairly different. I dont know, but i'm not an expert. Surely what you said, could be said about a million different things that we eat/drink.

Better Start Farming and milking women then :p

Yep I have always had no sugar and for a long time i have had no milk in my tea, same with my coffee.
I find milk leaves a nasty aftertaste in tea and I don't like it in coffee.

Not true about the milk thing. Indian Chai (Indian Tea) is drank with milk and tastes MILES better than British tea.
I think i'll have a cup of Chai now tbh.
