Drivers attitudes to cyclists

I have no problems with Cyclists in town/city centres, it is in the country-side where they decide its an awesome idea for 3/4 of them to ride in a row so they can have a casual chat while ride. This of course means you can't see what is coming due to the hedges and they refuse to move other to make it safe to pass.

That canny gets on my wick!

Your paintwork would be ruined long before you got out of the car and in future you might think twice before cutting people up after a hefty respray bill.

In that case, I'll just give the crowbar a rest and report you to the police instead of getting out the car. :p

Cyclists are dangerous. Driving down to my Grans a few weeks ago (although this has happened many times) even on country style lanes they were cycling 4 abreast, and basically for about 30 mins I was tailing these cyclists with another few cars behind me. Not just inconsiderate but plain rude and idiotic. Not ONLY that but on several occassions they tried to wave me past, on blind bends, up hill...luckily I'm not a moron, each time they tried to wave me past, if I had gone I would have hit the car that came round the bend the other way.

So basically not only are cyclists dangerous and the cause of most accidents involving them because they dont obey the law, but they are inconsiderate and dangerous to others. They have no self awareness or awareness of others and are a menace. Then they have the cheek to blame motorists.

What would you do, give them my registration number? ;)

Even if they did find me: "Sorry officer, my pedals must have caught the side of his car, he drove off at high speed after nearly killing me!"

And you might think twice about causing criminal damage when you are prosecuted to the full extent of the law and receive the bill for a main dealer repair of the damage.

That sort of attitude to road incidents show why cyclists dont care, mainly because they dont have to. They can do what they like and either get away with it because nobody can identify them, or get hit and instantly everybody blames the motorist, wether it is actually the motorists' fault or not.

And you might think thrice when you're prosecuted for careless or dangerous driving, drivers that are incapable of giving cyclists room should not be allowed on the road, clearly they have no driving skills and the chances are they passed their test by sheer fluke.

Another reason for motorists to show a bit more consideration.

cyclist ***** me off no end it makes me sick that i pay car tax and fuel duty and they get to ride the roads foc they even have special lanes which i think they should be made to pay for, all i can say is dont cycle near me .

Around here we have loads of cycle lanes but the ****s still ride down the white line in the middle or on the pavement, jump lights, ignore crossings and generally **** people off; more hgvs required I say.

Cyclists are much like chavs on mopeheads.....they cannot keep up with the traffic and so everyone has to overtake them, meaning at some point a car is goint to clip them. A cyclist weaving all over the road Is going to get hurt badly at some point......yet surely they realise that if they hit me I need a new door panel and they need a new leg?!

Now I always give cyclists room but when there are 2 or 3 side by side you just feel like mowing them down.
Also what kind of man cycles to work? Usually wierd people (aside from city people obviosly).

Horses annoy me more as all the do is take a crap all over the road.

I will when I pick one out from under my car after him cutting me up and braking hard to prove how mighty he is. ;)

And I'm sure your cell mate will show you a bit of consideration when you drop the soap in the shower after you've been locked up for causing death by dangerous driving.
