Dicking about in the snow = OcUK win!
Answering a phone whilst driving = OMG BABY KILLA ALERTZ!1!!!!

OcUK drivers are far Superior to normal Every day common or garden drivers therefore they are Not required to Obey standard Road laws/Rules.
Everybody knows that.

I just tried to have some fun on a slight incline covered in compressed snow, floored it in first but DSA kicked in and it wouldn't go higher than 2500rpm, lol :D.

That aside, I just drive as usual just slower & calmer.

Eg. dont pull out quickly in small gaps like usually, brake well in advance and extra slow through corners. Corners I usually take in 4th or 3rd now in 3rd or 2nd... Keep to the ''advised'' speeds ( them blue signs, which aren't limits but recommended speeds) on corners on the motorway for a change too...

I never understood them. Who are they aimed at? What weather conditions? Clearly a corner a 911 might be able to get round at 70 probably isn't a corner an HGV will be able to get round at 40.

I don't know, I usually tend to ignore them in most places, in some they make sence ( they usually place them here AFTER some accidents, there's one for 70km/h one of the inner 270 deg corners on a cloverleaf interchange here near me, but on that corner it's pretty much impossible to go at the 100kph limit though it ( with a non sports car anyways), and you can see many dents in the armco from cars who went too fast ), in others they can be totally ignored, I assume it's something recommended for the poorest handing ''normal'' car in bad conditions such as rain or whatever.

I think that's probably reasonable. Certainly if it's dry I tend to ignore most of them, until it's an advised 30 on an NSL road when I'll tend to slow to 50ish. If it's wet I follow them a bit more closely.

I must admit last year i stuck the car in 5th and got 2 friends to sit over the front wheels while everyone else pushed....even then the engine over heated and i left it half way up a hill in a pile of snow.

yer rereading that i wouldn't take my advise... tho i only seem to do stupid things when it's safe to do so.

Maximum pressure?

Inflate the tyres to the recommended pressure as per the user manual of the car.

There is a lot of evidence to suggest that higher than the manufacturers recommended can (in some cases) be beneficial.

Modern tyres with very tough radial plys dont baloon with higher pressure so you can improve economy without wearing the centre like in the old days.

However, for me, I prefer to stick to the motorway/high speed pressures at all times. Higher than this and I believe you lose high end grip.

In fresh snow I would probably stay the same, keeping the tread open will help it clear, lower pressures would clog the tread faster.

Key when driving in snow is SMOOTHNESS no jerky or aggresive manouvers, think of driving with eggs between your feet and the pedals.

Bear in mind that on fresh fallen snow, ABS will take longer to stop than a locked wheel as the wedge that forms in front of a locked wheel actually slows you.

When the snow is hard and packed, the ABS car stops better.

In the morning ensure you clear the snow from the front grill! Otherwise you will likely overheat and blow the headgasket.
