Driving on the Easter weekend

Done about 800 miles over this Easter period whilst working,
I Can't honestly say I've encountered any worse delays than on a normal (whatever that is) day tbh.....

Friday is bad going down and monday is bad coming back. Sunday is usually averagely busy, same on saturday. I usually head overnight to avoid the worst of it. Sometimes I'll go down monday and come back at the end of the week just to avoid the herd, seeing the miles of stationary traffic while I'm flying along in the opposite is quite satisfying. :)

You do know cornwall is a popular destination for poor British weekend holiday makers :)

Fixed it for you

Reminds me of a mate who pays extortionate fees to "holiday camp" less than 5 miles from his house. Poor kids of his don't even know what a plane is or does, nor do they know that there are other countries to visit less than 20 miles away from the South Coast.....

Poor? Have you paid any train fares recently? Its cheaper to take a flight to Spain than get on a train to the west country last time I went :p

If its any consolation. Ive got a 1200 mile drive back home from Georgia on saturday that will take about 24 hours.

Will it be nose to tail bank holiday traffic though? Having to travel for hours at 20mph because the motorway has ground to a halt, thats when you're lucky to move at all?
