On my way home today, i was just on the slip road onto the M8 Motorway, some **** in a Mazda rx8 put's the foot down to catch up and be parallel with me then slows down so i cant get onto the motorway and have to end up on the hard shoulder.!!!! So when i finally get onto the motorway, im sitting in the middle lane, he slows down, looks at me, and say's "take the next cut off you ******", i just ignore him and pass by.

The mentality of some people.!

FULLY STAR ALL SWEAR WORDS!

Why were you sitting in the middle lane?...
Yeah, who's the **** now?! ****.

And how did you hear what he was saying?
Unless you lip read, which means that you were looking at him far too long instead of concentrating on the road in front.

CHILD KILLER

Because the middle lane is for driving at 70, inside lane for taking the next cut off, and outside lane for overtaking tossers.
Just saw this.
I was joking before, but now you really are a **** :p

yeah, guys before you go all mental and make idiots of yourself there are some very funny lanes on the M8 in Glasgow.

when im going to my mates, there are plenty times I'm in the middle lane of the road, but its actually marked as the inside lane due to the left lane being a slip road. sometimes they can go on for ages, then slip into another etc

but there's loads at points

Joining the motorway. When you join the motorway you will normally approach it from a road on the left (a slip road) or from an adjoining motorway. You should

•give priority to traffic already on the motorway
•check the traffic on the motorway and match your speed to fit safely into the traffic flow in the left-hand lane
•not cross solid white lines that separate lanes or use the hard shoulder
•stay on the slip road if it continues as an extra lane on the motorway
•remain in the left-hand lane long enough to adjust to the speed of traffic before considering overtaking

Seems to me like the OP should have slowed down and then joined behind the rx8 rather than trying to overtake it on the slip road and then driving along on the hard shoulder when he couldn't.

plenty of numpties use the m8 on a daily basis,

i had a woman stopped in the outside lane at the gas tanks with her hazards on on sunday afternoon, after a civic tried to wipe me out going sliproad to lane 3 in one move

Reminds me of my time working at The Garage. On more than a few occasions I would be heading home via the M8 (+ the A8 and A78) at 4am and there would be nothing but darkness in my rear view mirror.

A spot of light would interrupt this serene view and then before you know it I've got an idiot tailgating with their full beam dazzling me, even though there is another lane for them to pass. This would typically last for a few minutes before they would finally overtake and bugger off into the distance. Why????
