driving test

ah well was all ready to do test, and there was abit of frost on the ground.Test cancelled till 2:37 today so gotta sit even more and panic lol

I couldnt beleive how terrible i was on my test tho, felt like i forgot everything, made me seriously think when i finished am i able to do this lol.

My sister said this exact thing after she failed her first test. She was getting herself worked up about nothing because I took her out for a few practices before the test and her driving was fine but nerves got the better of her and she made stupid mistakes.

Keep calm and carry on!

Best of luck this afternoon

When you're in the car with the examiner casually talk to him/her. You'll find s/he's a normal human being who genuinly wants you to pass.

Mine wasn't, he actually gave me a lecture at the end of the lesson on how I was very lucky that I passed due to the amount of minors that I had received. I was sooo nervous and he really didn't help.

Still passed first time though.

I'm surprised they didn't just cancel your test and give you a new date a couple of months ahead. Lucky to get another same day!

Good luck :)

Good peice of advice? Don't post on an internet forum you're going to do your test, don't tell ANYONE. Then you're never thinking "Oh if I don't pass I have to go and tell everyone i've failed", or "Can't wait to tell everyone I've passed!".. You just think of it more like a normal driving lesson.

Most of my friends just turned up one day with a driving license!

Good Luck Oneshot, although at 22st you might be better off getting a pushbike out ;)

Just relax and think of all those long walks down to greggs a car will save you ;)

Good luck with the test :) I had my test this morning, but luckily all the frost has finally cleared around here. Loads of tests have been cancelled here over the last few weeks with the snow. I passed, but almost messed up the parallel park (or whatever it's called) due to nerves. But after that, the rest of the drive went well.

I failed my first driving test for driving through a puddle too fast - in my defence I barely noticed the puddle because of a squirrel dancing around on the other side of the road.

I mean, that's not fair, dancing squirrels on the test - who wouldn't be distracted?!

In the hours drive before my test I had to do an emergency stop when an idiot ran out into the road - then later I got driven into about 200 yards and 3 minutes before taking my test. Fortunately there wasn't enough damage to prevent me taking the test, and the collision wasn't my fault (my instructor went absolutely ballistic - "He's about to take his ******* test" - "Sorry, er, good luck?")

Because of this I was just thinking "well, no chance of passing now", so I simply got in the car and drove for 30 minutes. As that, for the most part, is all they're looking for, I passed :p

Moral of the story - simply get in the car, and drive as you would drive for as long as they require. Make sure you check your mirror often, manuever correctly and abide the rules and regulations of the road. Keep an eye out for any hazards and drive smoothly and quickly (i.e. don't dawdle and crawl around under the limit, get up to speed at a sensible rate) and you'll be fine.

dont worry about it, just rebook soon.

ive failed once, and have my 2nd test on the 27th.

i really hope i pass this time or i will actually break down mentally...
