What would you get done for if you were pulled over and were wasted when driving but the high was legal?

Obvisouly if you were all over the road then it would be wreckless driving but if say, you had a headlight out but were trolleyed then tested and had no alcohol or illegal drugs in you then would you be fine?

I ask because a mate was driving whilst still a bit high from the night before when he had a legal drug. It seems to have swept accross yorkshire and everyone now knows of it. I wont name it because I dont want the thread locking or removing like the last one

Alcohol is a legal drug..

Unless you want tips on how to break the law and not get caught, well i cant give it to you here

Driving while intoxicated is still an offense, isn't it? Doesn't matter if it was a legal high or not. If you're in an unfit state to drive, you'll get done for it.

Mephedrone has been doing the rounds as of late - was it that?

You could just say on behalf of your mate that he has recently lost his mental abilities - the cops wont do him for driving while being a retard as I don't think there is legislature for that.

 sorry. I meant anything that you dont usually get arrested for. ie drink driving or drug driving. Coffee is a drug but I dont think you can lose your licence for having 10 espressos

You really think the police will believe that? There's legislation explicitly stating that those with mental conditions like that aren't even allowed driving licenses in the first place!

As long as you crash and only injure yourself, hopefully fatally, then driving whilst under the influence is fine.

Unfortunately, this rarely happens.

Durrrr - I know that - my point implied that when he got the driving licence he was completely mentally able but let's say recently he has become a retard ...

If you have enough coffee to make you drive dangerously, then you can indeed be done for reckless driving.
