Driving when wasted?

I don't condone drink driving, it is obviously very dangerous but I have to lol at the feelings of anger I detect from some posts, obviously it stirs up emotions when u think this idiot could have killed a member of our families, but it is mainly down to drink driving propoganda, not that I disagree with it, I just find it interesting how attitudes change yet drink driving accidents are probably a lot lower these days.

My 80 year old grandad thinks drink driving is acceptable lol, we took his car off him. Poor man is finding it hard to drive these days.
 
I get what the OP means. i KNOW cocodamol makes me high as a kite. no idea why but i avoid it. i'm not allergic to it but it makes me very light headed and so i won't drive on it. no idea why but it's only cocodamol which does it. :confused:

Well , despite your lol'ing at the feelings of anger, you might well find that the feelings of anger stem from some of us having had our 8 year old nephew run down and killed by some braindead selfish teenage girl who was flipped out at the time. But yeah...LOL...hilarious.

largely the same for people i know. myself - i hardly drink, but it's what i drink. i can down a bottle and half of vodka and i'll be up 8hrs later washing the car. 5 pints of lager and i'll be throwing up.:o

My Grandma was almost killed by a guy on the wrong side of the road in a Landrover Defender who was drunk, but it doesn't change the facts that drink driving is a lot less than it was all those years ago and attitudes have changed which is all i was saying. it is fair comment. Sorry about your nephew.
 
What a fantastic contribution.

Do you think 4-mmc is any safer or more harmful than say caffeine in comparable doses (of say 500mg ) ? Every single drug was a research chemical at some point - and there are hundreds of prescription chemicals which people assume are safe simply because a drug company has said so - and a doctor has been paid money to test / prescribe them.

Do you even realise the amount of people that are hospitalised every day by the most commonly taken psychoactive drug (caffeine) due to them taking to much of it.

Attitudes and the law have changed, consequently less drunk driving. Still means that any drunk/Drugged driving is unacceptable

Oh I agree with you that its better now than it was, I'm just not the sort who would find myself laughing out loud at people who get angry about the issue.

Mephedrone is legal on a per individual basis, but it sure as hell won't stay that way for long. A variety of mainland European nations have banned it recently and the UK will likely follow suit. The tabloid hysteria sure aren't helping! The sad thing is, banning it, as with many other drugs, will make it much more dangerous as it would then be manufactured by underground sources and cut with god knows what. The safest thing to do is to regulate and educate, but we all know that isn't going to happen.

This. And it sucks because once it is made illegal it's just going to put more people in danger as it could get cut with all sorts of crap, and people will still buy it because it's quite cheap and there aren't really many alternatives to it.

Please try to get back on topic. I know even though certain drugs are legal. They are not allowed to be discussed on here for some reason, thread will be destroyed soon if we do
