Driving when wasted?

Durrrr - I know that - my point implied that when he got the driving licence he was completely mentally able but let's say recently he has become a retard ...

He got a license then developed a childhood mental condition?

Was he going 88mph?

I know its stupid. However you can be impaired by lots of things other than alcohol and drugs.

What im asking is, can you be tested (when no driving wrecklessly) be found clean, then free to go. Dispite looking high as a kite?

If a test came back as positive for drink or drugs you would get what for. If it came back as negative, even though you still looked high, could police do nothing? This is whilst not driving dangerously

they give you one of those American style tests (you walk the lines etc) fail that and they book you iirc.

But the police wouldn't (and couldn't) make you give a blood sample at the side of the road for "looking high"

Whether or not the substance that gets you "wasted" is legal or not anyone who takes it and then drives is an irresponsible prat who deserves to be removed from the roads ASAP

Are right. So you are asked to touch your nose, walk line etc. Didnt know that.

Could you be taken back to a station for a blood test for looking high? Not that it would matter anyway, as its legal. How do they stop people for drug driving then?

If they cant make someone give a blood sample at the side of the road, how do they check to see if you have Ecstasy or Weed in your system? Or does another test show these up. (Same for any other drugs i suppose)

Quite right. As I said though, my mate was just a bit high still from the night before. Writing about 'driving wasted' was incorrect by me. He just looked a bit too 'awake' still, his driving was normal though

I know a lot more people around my dads age and older (50s, 60s) who regularly go to their local after work, have maybe 5 pints then drive home. The majority live in the countryside, but i think country lanes are more dangerous than main roads.
None of my mates will drink even 1 pint when driving

If a constable suspects someone is unfit through drugs then they'll ask them to do some roadside preliminary tests, if you fail them then you are arrested and a blood sample is taken in custody.

What would you get done for if you were pulled over and were wasted when driving but the high was legal?

The issue here isn't weather or not they are going to get into trouble with the authorities or not but the fact they could have seriously hurt someone or even killed them. Give your friend and anyone else who thinks they are invincible a slap and a good talking too. If they still think they are superman or superwoman, report them to the police.

Alcohol impairs your judgement and vision. Some drugs make it better

Name me a drug that does either of those. You're vision is fixed you can't "see" better unless you wear corrective lenses or surgery. Judgement is always best without any drugs, you may be quicker to make a decision under the influence of drugs, but it won't make your judgements better.

Name me a drug that does either of those.

DMAE. (Dimethylethanolamine - available in some health food shops in the UK & manufactured by a company called Higher nature)

It most definately improves night vision (and clarity during daylight) - the effects are pretty remarkable for something that very few people have even heard of. Unfortunately it makes you focus your thinking so much that it gets annoying....And I can testify to both effects ;) Great for studying/revising - but it's hard to switch your brain off from the subject you are thinking on.

In fact the night vision is so profound, it's as though someone turned a light on with just very low moonlight. One of many chemicals that do actually improve vision. Need to know any others ?

also Short-term studies have shown an increase in vigilance and alertness.

Got a source for that?

As I said - they were the effects it had on me.....and a good few others

"DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is naturally present in small amounts in the human brain, and is found naturally in some foods, like anchovies and sardines. It is a precursor (building block) to Acetylcholine, a major brain neurotransmitter, which of course readily crosses the blood-brain barrier. Research indicates that supplementary DMAE promotes neurological processes which result in increased intellectual capacity, increased learning capability, increased short and long-term memory capability, promotes concentration, focus and alertness, and improves general sensory capabilities (vision, hearing, etc.) DMAE also contributes to the reduction of anxiety and hyperactivity, and contributes to stable behavior and mood. DMAE is part of the "choline cycle", which allows cells to convert certain specific biochemicals into each other as needed. One of the key roles for choline is as the rate-limiting factor in the production of acetylcholine."

It's a naturally occuring chemical supplement available in some good health food shops & classed as a nootropic. And as I said - if you want to double (and i mean double) your capabilty for night vision - this is the chemical to look at. Anyone that tells you that it's impossible to improve your sight without glasses or surgery alone obviously hasn't experienced this yet ;)

and it's also used as a Curing agent for epoxy resins!

Doesn't really matter if you'd get done or not.

What does matter is the people you crash into and kill.
