Dropped my iPhone tonight.

I hate to think what state the phone would be in now if it hadn't been in the Switcheasy CapsuleNeo case. I've emailed them with details of what happened and I'm hoping I can get a replacement back piece (the part which has broken). If not, I'll buy another case of the same type.

It just goes to show that no matter how careful we are, accidents can happen and I'm just pleased that I had my iPhone in a decent case.

I should add that although this sounds like sales pitch, I have no relationships with the case manufacturer other than being a happy customer.

You salesman :p

Seriously though, it looks a great piece of kit. It does includes a screen protector doesn't it?

Dropped my unprotected iphone a few weeks ago back when it was lovely sunny weather.

I was in the park with my girlfriend, decided to sit on an arch way that was above some rocks either side of a path, as I bent down to sit the phone fell out my pocket and in seemingly slow motion bounced on a couple of rocks after a good 5 foot fall as I shouted '****!' very loudly.

Amazingly it was reasonably unharmed as I could see the display lit up and animated before I went to reclaim it! Just left with two undesirable scuffy scratches on the back which I deserved for my clumsiness.

Very surprised it did not smash into many pieces right there and impressed by its durability!

A Rebel man myself, can't fault it though and good to know their customer service is awesome too.

The design of mine looks quite similar to yours, mine fell out of my shirt pocket face down on to concrete and all I've got is a couple of nicks out of the plastic bezel. Well impressed. :)

Whats the difference between the Rebel and CapsuleNeo? Do they come with screen protectors as I was probably gonna get a Martin Fields one as Ive always been told they are very good especially for touchscreens...

To me the CapsuleNeo looks smarter but hard to tell with product photos...

I dropped mine the other day, bad timing or what? I had it lined up for sale as well.

Im getting the 3GS tomorrow, but despite this accident Im still reluctant to get a case due to how they make the phone bulky feeling. Not sure what to do yet with regards to a case.

Are they really necessary? I've dropped my phone frequently, I've even tried to catch it with my foot once and ended up kicking it accross a road. There's barely a scratch on it. I keep it in my pocket with my keys too.
