I don't own a PSP anymore, but I've heard using the largish memory stick as a data cache can improve battery life.

Not sure about the 15% batt left afterwards but I'd say the above is possible. As mentioned above, there are ways to extend the battery life but they can't be discussed here.

I was assuming that Raikiri was playing films off memory stick (ripped from his own DVDs). Using a mechanical drive will always use more power than accessing data off chip.

Sin city was a UMD, the fawlty tower episodes were on a memory stick. I see no reason to lie though.
I agree the battery could do with being a bit better, but it isnt as bad as you are making out. Only thing i can think of is you have an earlier model with an inferior battery :confused:

I have the white japanese one, got it about a week after it came out (mid september i think)

, I was only mentioning that as the discussion was about how Raikiri managed to get such good battery usage. And whilst that comment may have been blinding obvious to you maybe not everyone who buys these devices knows the ins and outs of how hardware works.
