DSG vs Normal Auto

Has anyone actually come across a decent chance to use launch control though? I've not had the chance yet after 6 months!

DSG and Autos drive pretty much the same.
Just use P,D and R.

I didnt do anything special when I drove a DSG.

They now all have hill-assist which applies the brake for you automatically until you touch the throttle.

A word of warning chaps, many modern HGV's are similarly equipped, but, they DO NOT apply the brake and its down to the driver to remember this.

Easy when you drive an automatic HGV every day, quite the opposite when your not so used to them!

I've seen a fair few roll backs recently, it tends to make a mess of the poor car behind.

In a nut shell, keep well back from an HGV on a hill, you don't know what type of box its got.
