Dualshock 3 date for EU

I would want a DS3 in a PS3 bundle, no way would I pay for a bundle with a old tech, the controllers really need to be £30, £40 is taking the mick for a controller.

Meh, got myself one of these months ago, the sixaxis is now reserved for mates, DS3 is a streeteh-only peripheral

Got that right, the mates get the crappy sixaxis controllers that creak and groan whenever something touches them.

None, but rumors of software backwards compatibility that will allow the 40gig to play PS2 games are getting more and more common. I tend to find rumors eventually become fact in the console world (xbox 360 blu-ray drive aside).

Where does it actually say the official RRP anywhere, in GBP or Euro equivalent? Is it just one person says it will be £40 and the sheep follow?

Sony are starting to get things right at last, I am now seriously considering a PS3 and this was one of the things holding me back. I think the main things that people want from the PS3 are:

Price Drop (Even to £250 is more affordable)
DualShock 3 Controllers bundled in.
Backwards Compatibility
More Games (it's getting better over time)

The above combined with the new features such as in-game XMB coming in 2.4 would make the PS3 a lot more popular.
