Dubstep, I don't get it.

I'm not here to have a go at people that like Dubstep but I like quite a variety of dance, trance, electro and some house music.

I also like Rock, Pop, a bit of Classical as well.

The only genre I don't like is Dubstep, it just sounds like a mess, random sounds.

Someone please tell me the appeal of dubstep.

I'm not a fan either. I didn't get it at first but when you hear it on a good sound system with a decent subwoofer it begins to make more sense. It probably helps to be high, too.

I come from a Hard Dance and Hardstyle background and I quite like the bouncy wobbly sounds personally

I dont like 'heavy'/'dirty' dubstep but a mix of drumnbass + dubstep, i guess drumstep is something verrrry nice to my ears.

Are those first two dubstep? I thought it was more like this (after the first 30sec):

edit- Are youtube embeds working for anyone else? I've tried using them on a few vBulletin forums and all I get in the youtube window is 'An error occurred, please try again later'. I'm logged into my youtube account, adblock disabled on youtube and this forum, using the lastest firefox :confused:

Gives me goosebumps...Mt Eden is a musical god in my eyes, if i'm ever over NZ i'll be seeking out a concert!

This kind of dubstep inspires, raises my mood and gives me a good buzz in the car on the way to work in the morning
