Dubstep thread

Not contributing any new music to the thread but I went to see Skream last night and it was one of the best nights out I've had. Only the second dubstep night I've been to after Skream/Benga/Artwork and he was absolutely amazing.
 
Missed out on Emalkay at the Tube (Bristol) last night thanks to work not putting on enough people and me having to stay later to help out :(
 
Seeing Emalkay tonight, well mainly Stanton Warriors but Emalkay is on tonight too. Should be seeing Skream at a Detonate Hospitality night in a few weeks too :D

I was going to see Milanese last night but couldn't! :( There seems to be loads of good nights on at Bristol at the moment. :cool:

I really like this song actually, seems like a really good chill out song. Are you making any more similar? Any chance you could send me the song? :)

Nice tune, kinda reminds me a little of Burial. :cool: I find most of the wobble type stuff a little tiring now, for me it's all about tunes like this:

I've been trying to make a few dubstep type tunes also, I've only uploaded one so far, it's here: http://www.myspace.com/vertexdub

I guess it's somewhere between chilled and wobble, but I think I've made it sound a little too busy...
 
Maybe its just youtube, but that tune^ sounds a bit bright and harsh to my ears!

I'm quite liking your tune Mikehunt, nice job.

Thanks a lot :)

We plan to continue to produce tracks of a similar style. Working on a new one at the moment, again incorporating some nice "ambient" sounds I've made on my guitar. It all feels quite fresh.
Thanks Mike also, Burial is one my main influences and it does indeed show.
