** DUCKY SHINE III IN STOCK AT OVERCLOCKERS UK **

rjkoneill I have read your guide but it is hard to visualise all this without pressing things in RL.

I am on a saitek eclipse 2, how many grams (roughly) do you reckon one of those is?

The only colour I would get (if you can't change it, which you can't..) would be white, its classy and timeless, would match my rig perfectly too.

Orange would be v nice too

IMO, its impossible to visualise it. I really couldnt expect the weight and feel of the switches.
I would definitely try it out. I thought that with my fingers resting on the board, the blacks would be great. No, they felt as though they would tire my fingers in a minute.
You could always order each switch and have a feel around to make sure what you like is ordered.
Best thing to do is to try them out though :S

Sorry does anybody have a link or source for the full lineup of combinations/colours for the Shine 3?

What I REALLY want is a cherry switched 10-keyless Shines 3 with white keycaps and blue LED backlight. Just trying to gauge when/if there will be a 10-keyless first of all and if there are any option out there to buy with white keycaps or if I will need to buy them seperately?

Not that I am picky or anything, of course.....

Go over to the Ducky Keyboard UK FB page and ask. Or contact the reseller at Bosse computers.

I highly doubt they will sell the white keycaps with the keyboard. They may start making them later down the line as they have been showing off coloured key caps recently.

TKLs and/or minis will come later this year.

Anyone who pays £140 for a keyboard wants their head examined

A couple of these posts are floating around the internet and are extremely annoying me and others.

You are not everyone. Everyone has their own taste in life. If you dont want to spend that amount of money on a top quality keyboard then dont. Why do people buy cars worth the amount of a home? Because their taste is different to yours. We like the typing experience. They like their driving experience.

why would this be?

sure, its a premium product.

however, your keyboard is your primary input device. some people spend more time typing on their pc that they do going out drinking.

a keyboard that costs £140 is something you get to keep and is the equivalent to three or four nights out.

the keyboard makes typing and using your computer a much more pleasurable experience. a mechanical board is like an SSD. once you have used one, you cannot go back.

people are happy to pay premiums if they want high quality or performance.

I have personally spent over £500 on keyboards in the past few years, but I spend a large chunk of my day at a computer so I want anything to make that more pleasent.

look at graphics cards for example, a high end card is £300+ and devalues by roughly a three figure sum every 12 months. yet durable and well built keyboard that will last you 5-10 years is poor value for money...

I would ask you to consider your posts a little more carefully.

How to make friends and influence people...

Looking forward to getting hands on with these and others at iSeries to decide which switch and model I like most. I will be purchasing a mech keyboard, I've put it off for long enough.

See you at LAN bro's.

Personally, I have been researching and looking at Mechanical keyboards for well over a year and never taken the plunge. Yesterday I ordered one of these red switches with Red LED's and i'm very excited about trying it.

Worst luck i'm at a client's all day - but the keyboard has arrived at home, so tonight I can enjoy my first go with a mechanical :)

As far as i'm concerned £140 for a keyboard is a huge investment, but if you want the best, then you have to pay for it. The last keyboard I brought was 4 years ago at a cost of about £70 and its still going strong. The Shine III looks to be as much a design statement as a functional tool and therefore I don't begrudge the cost (too much).

Narrow minded and totally ignorant post. Anyone who writes nonsense like that should have their keyboard removed. Everyone else is not you, remember that and engage your brain a little before posting and looking like a muppet :D

No release date for the Shine 3 TKL yet, if/when it will be avialable it will be black keycap. White Shine keycaps will be back instock in the UK sometime in September.

Shine 3 we have 24 models Brown Red Blue & Black MX switches, each switch is available with a choice of LED colours Red Blue White Orange Magenta and Green. We do release some other models with other keycap colours on the Shine 2 we did Pink and White models but currently no plans at the minute for the Shine 3 (things do change though)

So no date on a TKL version yet and the only options we will have is to purchase with black keycaps. The only options being the LED backlight colour and the switch type. But as above looks like new keycap colour stock will be hitting UK sellers in september so we can customise to hearts content! :)
