Duke gets a release date

Dammit just hurry up and get the demo released will ya Gearbox?

I keep checking to see when the demo's out and keep getting more and more miffed that it isn't!

Not got sound here on work PC, but I'll watch it when I'm home.

I suppose all they can do about any delays is laugh, if they try to take anything serious it'd sound wrong.
 
The delay is more likely about they do not think they can compete with the following anticipated games which all come out a few weeks either side of the original May date in no particular order:

The Witcher 2
Fear 3
Portal 2
Fable 3
Bring
Red Faction Armageddon
Dirt3
Dungeon Siege3
Hunted The Demons Forge

All vastly different games but all looking for the same limited gamer funds!!! & most are multiplatform coming to PC/PS3/360

So instead they have chosen mid June going head to head with Alice Madness Returns :eek: so I can guess it will slip to late summer realistically if not early autumn :rolleyes: as games sell poorly in July-August its usually a dumping ground for rubbish games & Alice is likely to be a big seller based on the reception the original got ;)

I think they should just man-up release it on PC now digital download only as its obviously almost ready on PC only the 2 month console certification is holding it back but as it was a PC only game originally that would be the fairest thing to do (not that it will ever happen unfortunately..... :mad: ).
 
It's only 4 weeks. not like the game has been in dev for 12 years or something.
