Is this going to be a steamworks game or atleast released on steam?

You will also require an internet connection for a one-time authentication through Steam, which of course requires the Steam software to be installed, as well as the latest version of DirectX.

Hmm, at the moment it seems to be £27 for the cheapest online. Might as well just get it from Steam and save the hassle of getting it delivered - plus i'll be good to go on the day.

What do others think?

It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum.
Yippie ka-yay, motherf***er!

Can't wait for this :D:)

Unless you must have it on release I would say wait a few weeks till late June early July as it will drop a lot in value. The more they show the worse it looks & they are even holding back the really dated looking stuff so what they have shown to date is the best looking gfx! It looks as expected like a 10 year old game with similar gameplay to DN3D which was great in 1996.......

In the next month there are several big budget PC games which will make the price on this drop very quickly.

Brink
The Witcher2
Fable3
Dirt3
Alice Madness Returns (same day as Duke)
Red Faction Armageddon (same day as Duke)

I can really see Duke struggling as apart from diehard fans the mainstream gamers will not be amused enough by the adult humour to buy it as right now that's about all Duke has going for him & the delay to June just so they could tweak the console versions has put him smack in the middle of one of the biggest line-ups of games in recent years. 2K should move Duke again to July/Aug now.

Sadly for Duke I can see this spelling a lot of trouble saleswise........and how stupid that the publishers have all these games coming out in the space of a 4 weeks :( only hardcore PC gamers will buy more than 1 or 2 titles from that list @ full price so something has to give when money is tight & its summer.............

Cheapest I've seen is £22.99 delivered ;)

yea this looks like a good game

i did originally hate the character, but he's grown on me recently, it looks like a great shooter; same blokes that made Borderlands

The true believers in the Duke care little for graphics or development time, when we are worthy of his presence he will herald the second coming of kicking ass and chewing bubblegum.
Bring on June 10th, got my Balls of Steel edition preordered!
Some people are missing the point about Duke, it's not about story, graphics or gameplay, it's about having silly fun and saving babes.

yes and his sillyness is starting to grow on me, actually the graphics/gameplay looks excellent to me.... it's just that to a newbie like me, Duke is cult and takes some getting used to, because i've never heard of him before :D

if it's like Borderlands then it'll be great.
