three crunchers down atm (power failure, godda get em back up) so you've got a chance to pull ahead!

all my locals seem to have nothing but 775 and 774 atm

Hope your power issues resolve themselves :)

Still getting plenty of juicy 1495s here at the moment.

the UPS kicked in when there was a fluctuation, turned em off
their all back running again now.

got a 2139 and 2135 waiting in the wings atm (on my slower crunchers) that should finish day after tomorrow somtime, so if you're keeping ahead you better watch out!

your still 300 ahead atm, wish I knew what all my borgs where up to!

894 in the next 22 hours.
you're only 150 ahead

I do think that there may be a major processing gulf between a P3 and a 486. Didn't 486s need a math coprocessor to do heavy calcs?

Dunc

486 SX chips were missing the maths co processor, DX chips had it on die. the eraly ones were SX (25 MHz and then 50 MHz iirc) later on came the DX chips at 33 and 66 from intel later on AMD released the DX4 chip at 25 * 4 with a co processor. basically SX chips sucked at doom and DX ones did really well :D

I wouldn't have though that any of them were worth the electrickery to run any modern DC project on them. If my XP 1800 struggles at 2000 MHz I can't see a 486 chip at 100MHz doing very well

I have a 486 DX2 66 and a SX 25 if anyone wants them (and 8086, 286, 386 and 68000 chips in my spares box for that matter).

Damn I must be really old :(

I've a load of 486 and 386 chips in my bits box, but no motherboard or systems for them to go in atm.

You will be pleased to know that we had a thunderstorm here and one of my cores which was about 82% of the way through reset itself when the power flickered off :(

once daily...

...or everytime I click the update link that Garp gave me :p
not sure he'd appreciate that though so I'll resist it :D

Hmmm.. I'd set it as once daily merely because Stanford was only producing the stats dump once a day. If they're doing it more frequently I'm happy to change the cron job.

Edit: looks like they are updating it more regularly though I'm struggling to find the information page about it (I'm probably just being blind). Will up the cronjob to every hour as its only small.

No new borgs. Just my faithful Dual Xeon crunchin away on a stream of yummy 1495 wus :)

I guess that you have been getting low ppd wus whereas I have been getting high ones.
