* Raised Mana Bank limit to 30 million
* Added VSync and One-Threaded-Renderer Options to the Configuration Tool
* Fixed 50% of all reported crash types
* Improved Apprentice Defense Attack Rate ramp further, now you gain major Attack Rate DPS benefits well into the 100's of Attack Rate points
* Chat-box now won't auto-close when opened if bound to 'Enter'
* Items that are locked in your Item Box now stay locked when equipped to your hero
* Fixed minor potential exploits
* Chat History ("Console") Key can now be set in the Configuration Tool
* Animus projectile now is piercing, and has better damage ramp.
* "Heal-Self" Spell now takes more time proportionate to what your Maximum Health is.
* Made "Enrage Aura" have a longer lifespan, more effective, and cost 1 less DU
* Reduced Bloodrage Speed benefit, and Increased Bloodrage Mana cost-over-time
* Fixed Magic Blockades not properly stealing the Element of Archers or Wyverns
* Push-To-Talk option no longer disables itself between games
* Map Loot icons now appear during the Combat Phase, not just the Build Phase
* Equipment rating calculation now factors in potential upgrade levels (i.e. lower-end equipment with sufficient upgrade levels is compared evenly with upgraded equipment)
* Added 60 more Item Box spaces
* Console (Chat History) keybinding can now be set in the Configuration Tool

Another boost for apprentice attack rate and blood rage costs more mana to keep up.

Also the item box spaces will be great for survival.

Time to try out my new disc launcher courtesy of FrenchTart, a 729k mana loan and the 1.3mil I had in my bank. Does about 16000 single target damage thanks to its dual shot.

Time to see what the patch has to offer.

That Halloween level is just stupid. There really was no need to make it last 2-3 hours even on Normal. Final wave has 8-9k enemies pouring in from all over the place. Finally completed it the second time (thanks to a very inconvenient power cut by the host halfway through the last wave) and the reward was a bit meh.

Still in the progress of upgrading my DPS :)

Lol, Flamewarder? Seen someone who had 7000 fire damage on it. Apparently the Van Wolfstein bow is completely broken, cos of the number of projectiles which don't spread much you can get 200k+ dps with autofire.

Found my first hacker today on ranked. Huntress with a Lava Beetle Exterminator that had 1500 damage and +80 stats, talk about subtle.

I spent hours last night doing Spooktacular on Hard, finally did it, got the Von Wolfenstein, and then accidentally sold it to the bank (I was very tired :p) :'(

Gutted!

I've got 2 from normal, both were crap and had no projectile bonus.

Watched a video on Assault Insane. Got myself a good Blasticus after the 6th victory (and probably the 50th attempt) which is kicking out 33540 dps and a 20k piercing shot and of course has bankrupted me AGAIN.

How abouts do you get a good weapon?

I'm a level 23 squire and not sure if I should invest all my mana in something I thinks decent that I pick up when I don't know if a boss is going to drop something good.

Don't worry about it, by the time you've leveled enough to get a decent boss drop, mana won't be as much of an issue.

Just upgrade and have fun :)

33.5k DPS?!

My flamer does 4.6k and I thought that was good!

Hehe. I've spent a bloody fortune on bows lately. Been using that damn oversized Cavelier for ages with 2.5k dps and a 7k ethereal shot. FT gave me a decent disc launcher which cost me 2mil-ish to upgrade. That did me well for a while then I found a Godly Bone Bow on sale in the shop, upgraded that cost me nearly 2-3mil, used that to help me with Assault Insane, now got a reasonable Blasticus that cost me 3-4mil. Ever time I get mana I spend it. I need to save up for a good pet!

Problem with the Flamewarder is its only useful for a Tower Squire, albeit very powerful. It'll drop ogres like flies and put the hurt on the 3 bosses like nothing else. But you've no way of killing regular enemies with fire immunity, unlike a Huntress who can just spam Piercing Shot.

@Firthy - Don't bother too much about finding a strong weapon. Your towers will be priority for a long time and compared to them your damage will be minute. Once you start doing harder levels the shop stocks better gear. Glitterhelm Hard does have the occasional Godly weapon/armour and a steady supply of stupidly expensive pets.

Well, after a lot of halloween event spamming and a 1.579 million loan from evilsod to finish off the upgrades I've finally got a half-decent new bow :)

119k DPS and about 22k for the ethereal. Spamming both works out at 143k somehow :)

Upcoming Patch! (ETA October 31 2011)
7.06
* Rebalanced/redesigned Spooktacular spawns and added Leaderboard & Stats collection
* Made Spooktacular skins unlockable by beating Spooktacular on hard, though second set of weapons remain Insane-only
* Fixed various Spooktacular mission bugs
* Fixed chatbox getting stuck during level transitions
* Make costume unlock requirements clear in the costume selection
* Allowed mission unlocking at the mission selection screen
* Reduced self-heal mana cost ramp (cheaper to heal at high HP's now)
* Added "Drop All Mana" key, default "M" key, and keybinding added to configuration tool
* Fixed problem with Familiar attack rate being effectively capped (there was indeed a bug with this), and renamed the Familiar Attack Rate stat to "Attack Speed Bonus". Now high-Attack-Rate familars are way, way, way more effective.
* Made practice dummies average DPS over 5 seconds for a more accurate reading
* Fixed potential double-upgrade bug with superfast mouseclicks
* Nerfed Spooktacular "Van Wolfstein" weapon about 40%, and Huntress Ability 'Piercing Shot' about 30%
* Moved bonus-item crates back into the main section of the Ranked Tavern, out from the Secret Room
* Made Genie pet's "Grant Mana Bonus" upgradeable, and made him grant more Mana proportionate to how much its "Grant Mana Bonus" is upgraded
* Added Pause menu option to "Lock" game, which delists the game and prevents anyone else from joining it. Useful for turning public match into a private match, or making a private match totally unjoinable even by your friends.

I'm not too bothered about the Wolfenstein, but nerfing Piercing Shot is going to be a killer!

*edit*
and thank **** they've fixed the chat-box bug, it was driving me insane! Great to see a Drop Mana hotkey :)

Yeah. Those changes are needed really. They aren't a big deal though. The new bow I found will have a base damage about 600 higher than my current one so if the 40% figure is right I should stay on the same kind of level. The piercing shot reduction will be annoying but is to be expected and is perfectly manageable.

He just had to 1UP me. First I get the disc launcher which was as good as his, then I get a bone bow which was better, then the Blasticus which was even stronger, so he gets a Van Wolfstein with silly stats, then a second, even more powerful one ><

Piercing shot will still be far more powerful than any other instant use skill from other classes. Circular Slice is pitiful by comparison and while Mana Bomb is strong its recharge is horrendous.
