As someone quite neutral I think right now, MV is better than LH.
He's matured a lot. Seems a lot more robotic than LH in that nothing phases him.

LH under pressure seems to struggle a bit more.

Question is.. Is GR going to continue to out perform LH? Coming into that team, expecting to be playing second fiddle to LH but potentially getting the better of him? Massive confidence boost.


Let's get LH and MV in a alpine or mclaren and put the argument to bed.. I wish!

I think you are only saying this because Max is NOT under any pressure this season. Max cracked massively at the end of last season with all his stupid shenanigans/borderline cheating when Lewis was schooling him through the last few races,

Max has had almost no competition after the first few races of this season, and him and the Red Bull now are untouchable regardless of where he starts on the grid.

Also GR is not outperforming LH.

Yeah. Saudi Arabia 2021 was proof that MV did not deserve that championship (besides the Masi stuff!). He was playing bumper cars, should have had a race ban or something for the stunts he pulled there. Absolutely disgusting, and as you said, complete desperation. But he got away with it all year, and the blame for that also has to lie with Masi.

If Mercedes sort their car out for next year I would honestly love to see the Max and Lewis battle. Verstappen might find himself against a Lewis Hamilton far less inclined to yield than he did in the beginning of 2021.
