Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Yeah The Following seems to be pushing you towards fighting volatiles a lot more, haven't cleared a single nest yet as I'm failing horribly each time!

The Following is an add-on DLC. You need the main game to play it.

You access it after completing the original scenario.

You can access it before, there is no requirement to finish the original story.
The fact that your level and loot is carried across however makes it advisable to do so though as it quite a bit more challenging than Harran with the focus being less on sneaking and silence and more on fighting or legging it (and maybe running a few over in your buggy!)

Still its a superb bit of DLC that actually added something different and was one of the few DLC's that I thought was worth the cash.

Explosive bolts for the crossbow are your friend (as long as you aint too close of course!)

Cheers, I'll give that a whirl.

Seriously though what's with saving in this game, never had issues with vanilla. Quit the game at the petrol station and it apparently saved, but now I loaded back in and it randomly spawned me at a hunting tower in a middle of nowhere, over 600 metres away from the car.

Enjoyed the base game but didn't get any of the DLCs/expansions. Only thing that annoyed me is I somehow missed crafting/unlocking the grappling hook until the very last mission or two. When I did it was evident I could have done it way sooner and had more fun with it, as it was great.

Just played this for the first time today with my brother. At first we were excited to play it, doing the prologue we couldn't wait to get together in the same world, but when we finally did, we got so bored. Run here, just over shanty Town, run back, run over there, jump around, now run back. Really quickly felt samey and dull area. The zombies were good and night time made it interesting but things like the constant weapon breaking, the pointlessness of doing it coop. I was expecting something a lot more open and more to do.

Are we doing it wrong? Help convince us why we should keep going.

The fighting is extremely satisfying for sure.

Try to get further in to the game. The open segments are just to teach you the basics.

The expansion was good to an extent. The landmass introduced was poorly utilised as there was too much unused space. Customising the buggy was huge fun though as was the return of 2 key characters.

Keep playing tbh^. Dying Light is a hugely underappreciated classic and it gets better as you play further into the game.
