Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

A tiny patch that actually did something! Developers could learn from this :D

Really enjoyed playing it tonight. Just had about 4 hours on it. Now 4k is running at about 35fps with everything high ('Nvidia' stuff off)

Crossfire should hopefully get that to 60fps, but I've been doing a mixture of side quests and the main quest and am about level 9 on my powers now so weapons last longer and I can inflict more damage and run around longer and jump higher.

Haven't even tried co-op yet.

Surprised at this from the early reviews. The weapon, inventory and leveling system is done well. Looks great and the story is fairly good so far (about 15%). The movement and combat is better than I expected as well. I've had one crash in co-op where the game stopped working and one or two disappearing zombies, again in co-op, but apart from that no other issues. They seem to have nailed the difficulty level as another plus point. It's true it takes ideas from other titles but not in a bad way - a mix of dead island, mirrors edge, far cry and borderlands 2 with a hint of the recent batman games and skyrim.

You will need that very very soon!!! But you are in for a treat if you enjoy the free running aspect, I went for about 5 minutes without stopping once, the city roof tops are brilliant for it..

Anyone tried mp yet? So far I am about 22% through the story and most of my quest are either in the dark areas or at night. I don't like the dark it gives me the willies.

I'm probably around the same as you, night quests freak the **** out of me so I have avoided them so far! Would love to play this with the Rift, would be interesting to see !

Did someone mention a few pages back (I can't find it) that they had a random weird issue with the audio appearing to sound like a sort of 'metallic' noise, particularly with NPC voices? Had it last night as I was running up the stairs inside the tower and then again when I was doing the sort of parkour training with Rahim when he was speaking. Anyone had this?

This is the first game that has sort of given me vertigo.

Maybe it's the way your view tilts around as you get high up, but climbing up high in other games never gave me that.

I'm not even particularly scared of heights in real life!

Tell me about I have never been one for scary games but the screatching sounds on a night are scary as hell. I'm not trying to do the story I'm more really doing my own thing and if I come across a story element I do it.

Just finished the first part at night first time didn't go so well I just ran like hell and used the UV light, then I realised you can just avoid all the zombones, wish they didnt patch it where you could remove the grain effect though

will have a look into it in abit, just found a german pistol :D

will put the location in a spoiler just incase there are people who would rather find items on their own.

Go to the central station to the left of it is a path that leads down to a small hut there should be a guy who has shot himself and hes got a pistol in his hand
