Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Well just bought this for some coop fun with some mates after selling off my CSGO skins on Steam! Can't complain for a free game really! :)

There's a construction site I came across on a mission and it had about 6-7 enemies and a lot had 'Police Rifles' which are pretty powerful.

I don't really use them though...Prefer slicing and dicing.

You did what? I don't even think I could play it for that long a session, let alone watch somebody else playing it.

I have a ruined sleep pattern at the moment so I had napped from 8-11 and was not tired at all but couldn't be bothered to play anything and had work today. I know the streamer irl and he's pretty entertaining.

Guys just got this but for some reason it wont go full screen i can still see the windows tab:confused:

Have you changed it to full screen in the options menu?

as I've read this is badly optimised...anyone tried running it with a GTX 570 1280mb? Is it still playable at an average setting and looks comparable to console still?

i'm playing it on a laptop which has a 680m gtx card which should be similar to desktop 570. (although i do have 2gb vram) and i can play it at 1080, some high some medium settings and its sweet as!

Cheers, will keep eyes open for a decent deal - need to make final decision soon anyway on whether to buy a 980 or wait for whatever the current best is when Oc Rift final version is released and suffering in between :)

Guessing this works well with an xbox one pad ? contemplating getting this:)

Yes it works perfectly well with the xbox pad, though I tend to only use it for the lockpicking.

The latest patch really helped with performance, game runs great and really enjoying it. Also loving the John Carpenter-esque soundtrack :)

I only bought this today, I was surprised to see I have no performance issues at all. Everything is set to max except view distance which is about 30%.

Very impressed with it so far, looks great and I like the gameplay.

Ive had to drop my eye candy settings down to medium with my rig (i7 [email protected], GTX760, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance) as when the visuals got 'busy' on screen I was getting awful stuttering and slowdown. Not necessarily massive drops in FPS, just a god awful juddery, stuttery experience. This also seemed to affect the sounds as well, as I mentioned earlier this sort of 'metallic' type thing was going on with the sounds, particularly the voices. It happened when the visuals started stuttering as well - seemed connected. No idea why. With the settings dropped to medium (but everything else left at default /auto detect apart from draw distance which I've knocked right back to one notch above zero) the game runs a lot smoother and the visuals don't actually look too much different if I'm honest! Still looks good.

When I say I got stuttering when the visuals got 'busy' I mean when there were lots of effects going on in front of you such as the tree branches swaying in the wind, a fire burning and stuff floating through the air.

HALP!!

Argh!!! I'm stuck on one of the first tasks, how the hell do you:-

Activate the light traps on poles in the train yard area? I climb up the climable pole nearby the pole with the trap at the top but every time I try jumping to it I just drop like a stone to the ground!
