Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

Frame-rate seems all over the place, i could be down to about 42 one second, the next im 80+.

same here but yknow what, does it actually effect the smoothness of the game if you just turn the fps counter off and forget about it!? im surprised your getting similar fps to me however, i figured i might have a cpu bottleneck as i read the game likes to max out one core, or maybe it was slowing down because it's maxing out my ram (which it is, but hasn't caused any crashes), but maybe not

Game plays nice at high/medium for me so I'm quite happy with it. Although it crashes to desktop and a restart is needed every now and then.

I thought that day time was bad when the hordes of zombies chase me everywhere till I had to do the first drop mission and it turned night. Oh my God, brown pants moment when them b***** chased me at night. Now day time is a walk in the park in comparison :D

Any tips guys on how to kill the gigantic lunatics in orange clothing? molotovs seem to do nothing to them

Use quick dodge either back left or right to avoid their attacks and use a weapon that's mid/fast speed (that's unless you're cheating using dev stuff)

Doesn't seem to be affecting it, runs great, it doesn't stay down arond the 40s long enough tbh, about a split second or so, then shoots straight back up again, i'll just have to turn the counter off :p

so me and mate started off we finished last only at 12% story...

started at 6pm and just finished and main story is still 12% lol :)

we found some awesome stuff tho! and a few quarantine zones!

Streamed this last night on Twitch, had around 40 - 50 viewers. I had lots of fun actually and for the first time in a long while, it's nice to play a game which feels finished and solid. Enjoying it so far and the mechanics are great.

I'll be streaming again this weekend hopefully www.twitch.tv/valkia

Are those jitters present when you are playing? If so how in the hell do you stand that? Sheesh

There is a side mission to go back here at night and steal some UV bulbs... Getting the bulbs is fine, getting out with them is not so easy if you choose to not just make it day time again at the safe house there like we did... which was mostly because I fell off of the bridge and grabbed the zip line down on the way down.

Spent about 20 minutes chasing bolters during the night time with my brother yesterday to no avail... in the end I just thought **** it and pulled out a rifle, 2 shots and it was down... admittedly it was not the smartest move I ever made when a shed load of volatiles appear and we had to bolt for out lives in the pitch black...I am sad to say my brother didn't make it... I on the other hand...didn't make it either but for an entirely different reason. I made it back to the safe house but as I was entering the safe area I jumped from the building next to the safe house and fell straight between a building that would have saved my life and a canopy that would have saved my life... splat

No cheating at all here, don't see the point!
Noob question, is dodging their attacks an ability I have to unlock? I don't remember the game teaching me how to do it :p

I dodge backwards by accident once, been using it since Muska - pretty sure it's in the game but they don't tell you and it's not an ability on it's own, unless it's part of the general agility leveling. basic/adept etc.

Been playing this for a few days - and started co-op last night. Good fun!

It runs fine on my laptop too - which is always nice - steady 40-50fps on Medium, indoors and out.

If anyone wants to join in we'll probably need a 4th player tonight for coop just hop on the TS server in my sig and check out the Dying light room, usually play 9:30-10:30 PM

Half of us are OCUK members always lol

Been running about with the frame counter off so im not seeing the drops, and i just can't tell when its happening, game just runs great regardless, the ingame AA doesn't seem to make a difference to the frame-rate either, as gave that a test as well.

Im surprised how much i'm enjoying this to be honest. I seem to spend most of my time exploring and messing about with zombies.

Although I absolutely hate night time :-(
