Give kb/mouse a try first, it's extremely well done, very "mirrors edge"

Trouble is (unless he/she or anybody else for that matter, is an avid k/m addict or rabid pad hater) they'd be missing out on analogue movement (big fan of this), vibration feedback (love it when a supply plane comes in for a drop), and excellent controls.
It's actually easier and more accessible with the pad because it's more of a mirrors edge game than an outright FPS. Thus you don't need the lightning reactions via a KB and Mouse like you would in traditional FPS games. It's still great with KB and M though
Yh I've seen a few but I meant when modding tools are released that's when the real fun will start!

Totalbiscuit wasn't that keen on it either tbh, personally I think they both missed the point of the game - pure silly fun and I think modding it will make it one of the must owns of future Steam Sales (high praise indeed!!)
I feel sorry for console owners if they can't get it modded though.. ok maybe I don't.

This took me a few tries to really get into but I am really enjoying the fallout/far cry feeling and the brilliant (if a little repetitive) soundtrack. My only problem has been since I first thought the main character sounded a bit like Brian from Family Guy, and now I can't get that out of my head.

Just goes to show you can't always trust reviews.
4 GPU in 4k still b0rked, I get latency spikes up and beyond 400ms. Turning AA off helps but not by much.
2 CPU in 4k works fine with around 16ms latency.
Vsync on in all scenarios.
4 GPU in 1080@120hz is fine. sub 10ms latency.
Going back to test different resolutions and GPU clock speeds with the 4k panel.
Ok so in summary, 4K is not possible on a 980 SLI system with the settings all maxxed. The toggle to make the pain go away is to reduce the shadow map size and leave everything else at max.
Dropping the shadow size seems to allow the game to go in under the VRAM ceiling and the latency stays at roughly 20ms.

Dying Light seems to be vastly superior.
And BTW I tried both controller and mouse, and game played awesomely on both. But in the end I preferred mouse, the guns (especially german pistol) as well as parkour are way more satisfying. The headshots are glorious in this game
