I think it's much better with keyboard/mouse. Makes going through inventory quicker and easier.

You dont use a gun very much, so in terms of movement and combat mechanics, there's not really much of an advantage using kb/m, but there's no advantage in using a controller, either. Just preference. Kb/m works just fine.

Hopefully ill just get used to the inventory then as thats the bit i find to be quite a mess not sure why as its simple enough just feels off :D
 
Anyone still playing this? Just played a bit tonight for the first time in about 4 month. I'm still very early on in the game, level 6 I think. How do modified weapons work? I've got a couple of weapons that I've modified with a blueprint but the modifications don't seem to do anything. I have one that is supposed to set zombies alight but if I use it my character just uses the weapon as if there was no modification on it.
 
I didn't get bored playing this like I did withthe previous Dead Island games. Looking forward to the DLC.

One of may fav games to play on my 40" UHD monitor at 2560x1440 to maintain a 60fps for the parkour dashes.

 
One of the better games i have played in a while , was not too sure of it for the first couple of hours but the main story was pretty good and kept me playing.
The last mission where you had to kill Rais was a pain took me a week to finally finish that mission.
Will have to go and buy Dead island now.

This would be my game of the year I think. (Forgetting GTA5 as it came to PC so late)

Great gameplay, huge open world, the parkour works very well and the performance is excellent. Roll on the new content. It's the only game I've had all year that I've not uninstalled.

A must have IMO.

It's way better with a pad in my opinion. Feels a lot more natural.

Sounds great. Just beat the game like a month or two ago and it was one of the bigger surprises I've had in a while.

Bought the Season Pass yesterday but the game is sitting uninstalled for the moment. Will reinstall it and do a new playthrough with The Following, but this time on Hard(or maybe even Nightmare depending on how difficult it actually is). I never realized but playing on normal, daytime lasts a *really* long time so I was rarely ever finding myself pressured to find a save house as dark was approaching, which was one of my complaints with the game. Had no idea Hard mode fixed that issue.

And I really, really hope that 'video filter customizations' means we get a chromatic aberration toggle. The game was quite nice looking, but the CA kind of covered it up.

One thing I'm not too interested in is this greater firearm variety. Were people really asking for that? The parts where a gun really came in handy(usually during the missions against other humans) were some of my least favorite parts of it.
 
It all looks great. The only thing I really wanted from it was improved stealth tbh. Although it isn't mentioned, I'm pretty sure I did see in a video that it has been improved.

I'll replay the game when it comes out. I didn't get on with the game at first (weak story and I don't like the mele combat at all... Also some of it is far too on rails for no real reason), but I stuck with it and eventually found it one of the better games I've played recently.
 
Good, they updated the chart. At first, it made it sound like you needed to pay for the new version or at least the Season Pass/The Following to get the enhancements. Which would have been justifiable, but everybody getting the patch is very nice and should hopefully get them some renewed interest. The game deserves it.
 
Trailer does look good, hope they learned from their last attempt at linux this time! Had to wait for a patch just to launch/run . Runs well now so should be good.
 
I finished this on ps4 and just currently got into pc gaming and have started this again with the season pass on pc i love this game but i wanna finish it again but i dont wanna wait until the new enhancments are released.
