Dyson cooling fan or similar?

Keep your receipt safe. Had two of these break at the power connector. They use(d) micro-USB and must have soldered a batch poorly as the connector just came off in your hand with the slight force required to plug it in. Great fans, lasted the summer, but then broke and were duly returned.

You have used both meaco and boneco.

Which one was actually better for moving air and quietness?

I know one had issues which have been resolved but when it worked how did it fair against the other?

Meaco was great as a desk-fan replacement. Reasonably powerful. I was very happy with it generally. I understand they still have an issue with bearing whine if that is a concern for you.

Boneco shifts a lot more air a lot quieter than the Meaco, but the lowest setting is louder than the Meaco's lowest setting. I find it perfectly find to sleep with.

I'd say they both solve two different problems. I couldn't imagine the Boneco on a desk, but equally I couldn't imagine the Meaco moving enough air when it is some distance away from you. The idea with the Boneco is that it can sit in a corner pointing at the ceiling for an air curtain effect, or tilted towards you for air to actually hit you.

The Boneco doesn't rotate either. So definitely two different use cases.

Thanks so from what I can gather boneco is much better for home/room use and meaco is much better for desk/office use.

I looked on YouTube and googled and I was amazed nobody had reviewed them against each other. Even though both feature highly in buyer guides and in magazines like GQ yet no direct comparison against each other.

Is it the meaco 1056 you’re comparing it to? The air flow on my two are insane, even on low you can feel the air across the room, and if you turn it up to max it’s like having a tornado pointed at you.

If you have south facing windows, consider putting one of the various UV reflective films on the inside face of the windows.

Did this to a number of south facing windows last year and it made a huge difference (4-5° C cooler in those rooms) on the wood framed double glazed windows we fitted it to. Before, you could feel the sun’s heat on you hand when you held it near the window and now you can’t.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, the Meaco is great but the Boneco is like a literal tornado

Okay I had 2 Boneco F230's delivered earlier this week and wow. I'm tempted to get 2 more for the home gym.

How are they so quiet? I mean it makes less or similar noise to the dyson it replaces but moves 1000 times the air and I'm not joking as you know when I say 1000 times the air.
