E-On Ripp off!!!!!

Our bill is £80 a month combine gas/electric for a large 3 bed house. They did have it at £150 for awhile because they screwed up the estimates but it's settled down to £80 after 2 years with EDF.

£127 is ridiculous, let alone £250. If you call they normally have automated service where you give your meter reading. If the reading is correct it may be worth investing in usage monitor to work out what's using all the power.

I wish i was growin something but unfortunately this is not the case.

Here is what we are doing, We are calling our landlord to inspect the electrical wireing of the house until he comes with the electrician we are going to turn everything off and moniter the meter while the house is using no electricity whatsoever.

On the other hand we will report to E-on that the meter readings are erroneous and have nearly trippled when our usage has not increased and we will need to have that inspected.

We have not given them the new reading of our meter yet as we dont want them to suddenly increase our bill to epic proportions we will talk to eon about it being faulty then give them the reading obviously.

we have spoken to our neighbers they are the same as us with there usage. Just the three of us on this floor.

damn. I thought gas was more expensive that electric

we are on a gas meter and last week it cost us £4 - thats 3 of us sharing a ground floor flat

It would appear that I am in a similar situation so will be ringing E-On tonight as they have said they want to double my monthly payments based on the customer reading I have given them

The bill that I have got says I am less than £70 in debt (and previously I have always been in credit) so where they get the new monthly payment figure from I have no idea????? I know that prices have gone up but come on, that is ridiculous

Depends really, if your dual fuel and havent entered the winter months with a big credit then you really need to pay a decent chunk more than you have been.
My understanding is they aim to have you neutral by Spring each year. At least thats when my anniversary is.
we use about 5x more gas in the winter than the summer and 50-100% more elec so significantly higher bills.
